Written for Elfgreen week; free prompt.

Today she was getting married, okay, she could keep her cool, it was no big deal. Just the man of her dreams who she loved more than absolutely anything, her, the entire guild and more people… Okay so she was hyperventilating now, Mirajane rushed up to her with a paper bag and she took it, thanking the barmaid. After settling her breathing again she tried to relax in an arm chair just to think. Mira squatted on the floor next to her and held her hand comfortingly, squeezing every so often when Evergreen looked troubled.

She wasn't really, just nervous, she usually loved being in the spotlight but this was everybody she knew and more. It was a lot to take in, and to bring herself to walk out there in front of all those people made her heart jump a bit, though she wasn't completely sure if it was because of nerves or excitement. She guessed both, she had been waiting for this ever since she'd accepted Elfman, and she knew that she wasn't having second thoughts, she was just a little nervous. If she slipped up in front of Erza or did something silly she'd crawl in a hole and die; though she'd probably yell a lot first.

"This is for Elfman." She didn't really recognize that Mirajane had spoken until she shook her head and glanced at her, seeing a happy smile on her lips. "You agreed to this for Elfman right, because you care for him and want to be with him. Trust me, all those other people? They just don't matter, it's you and him. And obviously the guy marrying you two and me, because you had better not forget that if you hurt my little brother you are dead meat missy." She was being glared at, she didn't like being glared at; Mira was scary, especially while when she was giving her the evil eyes, she still had that sweet innocent smile on her face. The grip on her hand tightened a little before being removed, Mira starting to pace around the room anxiously.

"Are you alright Mirajane?" Evergreen was certainly taken aback by the nervous aura around the eldest Strauss, she rarely ever showed aside like this, too concerned about getting other people worried over her.

"Yeah I'm fine; I'm being a bit like you really. I want this marriage with you and Elfman to work and you seem to be backing out which really isn't fair because the two of you are so cute together and I…"

Evergreen took the chance, while Mirajane was taking a breath, to speak. "I'm not backing out of this, it's what I want. But going out there in front of all those people is just a tad nerve-wracking." Mirajane cocked her head to the side and pouted as if she was thinking something weird.

"Elfman's just the same, he gets nervous in front of others, especially a big crowd like this. The Master wanted to make this a big thing though and Erza was all for it…" Evergreen didn't pay attention to the rest of what Mira was going to say, now that she'd found her culprit.

'Of course Erza would have something to do with it, damn it when I get my hands on her…'

Mira's hand was on her shoulder now, giving a small squeeze that took away all of her anger instantly.

"This is for Elfman."

A double meaning, to make Elfman happy and to have him; both were what she wanted to do.

'This is for Elfman.' A small smile appeared on her lips, she could handle all those people out there and show Erza's sneaky little plan up, if it was for him, that was all she needed.
