A gentle breeze was in the air that night and it had Bolin thinking about romance.

When the sun finally set, he set out on a mission. The teen was headed down to the docks where the United Forces ships floated. Using his earth-bending he flew up to the porthole he knew all too well. The smash of Bolin grabbing onto the side of ship, made Iroh get up from his desk with a sigh.

The man walked over to the window and opened it to let Bolin swing himself in.

"And why are you here?"

Bolin frowned, "That's no way to treat a guest."

"Sorry," Iroh said, returning to his desk, "I have a lot of paperwork to do."

"Aww, really?" he pouted, sitting down on the couch nearby.

"I can't play now, Bo," the general groaned, looking down to his work.

The teen smirked, "Even if I wanted to make-out?"

Iroh paused for a moment, but then picked up his pen up, "Not tonight."

Well, this wasn't going the way Bolin had thought it would. After a few minutes of thought as the general's pen moved, the teen stood up and walked over behind the desk and Iroh.

"Bo…" Iroh warned.

But Bolin simply leaned over and placed a small peck on the back of the man's head before he started to walk away.

"I had planned something for us, but if you're really that busy, then I'll leave," he spoke, "…but if you change your mind, I'll be waiting on the docks for you."

Just as Iroh looked up, Bolin slipped back out the window.

The earth-bender didn't have to wait long until hearing the footsteps of Iroh walking across the wood of the port. He tried not to look too happy, but failed miserably when he saw the curious look on the general's face.

"So, what have you planned this time?"

Bolin was known to make him do some outrageous things on their dates. He was thankful that there was no one to see them this time.

"Oh, don't be like that. I know you love it when I get all manly and plan things that make you blush from all the romance."

Iroh couldn't argue about that as he felt Bolin's hand on small of his back leading him to the left edge of the wooded walkway. There was small row boat. Bolin jumped into it, making it rock back and forth. As it settled, Iroh nervously stepped in.

"I swear, Bolin. If I end up wet tonight, I'm going to be very upset."

"Could you be more specific about the kind of wet you're talking about here?" Bolin asked, while waggling his eyebrows and untying the boat.

The general stifled a laugh, "Really, Bo? I didn't think you were capable of such crude humor."

The teen smiled at him as he picked up the oars and rowed them out into more open water.

"This is it…" Iroh said disappointed, not because it wasn't romantic, but because it didn't have that Bolin flare.

"Oh, no. I'm not finished."

Bolin put the oars to the side and then got up and turned, quickly removing the plank of wood that had been his seat. There was a large pillow underneath it, which he propped up at his end of the boat. The teen turned back around and laid himself down with his head on the pillow.

Iroh dodged Bolin's legs as they swung over to land on his seat.

"Come down here," Bolin demanded.

Without much room, the general had to lay on top of the teen. After some maneuvering, they relaxed into a position of Bolin cradling the man in his arms.

Iroh had to admit that with Bolin's strong body next to his, the gentle waves, the cool wind and the twinkling stars this was so much better than paperwork. He closed his eyes and smiled.

"You always know how to get me to loosen up."

"Happiness is way more important than stupid paperwork."

"You say the most intelligent things sometimes, Bo."
