Hey everyone, Paradigm of Writing here with a little idea that I thought of! A small drabble like thingy with Kuro x Rosalina. I can't stop writing these little buggers, I love them too much! Dammit, Engraved in Stone got me hooked. Maybe I'll do another one... nah, I've got too much on my plate. Please enjoy Night Skies After the Sunset.
As the breeze gently played with his dark hair, Kuro stood at the edge of the ravine, his eyes slowly dancing over every detail. He watched the sun fade into the horizon beyond the trees, beyond a massive wall of emerald as the last streaks of light kissed the earth. A strange, yet relaxing calm settled over him, his worries washing away with the diminishing glow. The trees were a colorful mix of sunburst, gold, cardinal, and mahogany leaves, marking autumn's arrival.
He closed his eyes, listening to the sounds of the woods. A thousand questions that philosophers had argued upon over the ages ran through his mind, but he knew that they would never be answered. Those types of questions never had true answers to them. They were unimportant in the scheme of things. The secret of life was to enjoy every moment of it. Nothing was to be taken for granted, from the descending sun to the sound of locusts in the forest. You couldn't even take someone's love for granted.
He recognized the familiar presence even before he heard shoes scraping against the fallen leaves. A moment later he was aware of his wife Rosalina standing beside him, even though his eyes were still closed. Kuro smiled as his companion said nothing. She understood him.
He opened his eyes, and they stood silently, breathing in the scent known only in the October twilight. As he regarded the beauty around him, he let a content sigh escape his lips. He turned to his friend at last, and met her gaze.
Soul mate. A simple passionate kiss days before meant so much more in this moment, that it was the definite answer to the philosophical questions asked centuries before. The phrase echoed through his mind as if someone had spoken it in a hollow cave. Kuro knew that he had found his soul mate. Within Rosalina's eyes, all things were defined. He could feel himself drowning in their azure depths even now, and he could think of no better death. Fear was foreign to him when she was there. Meaning was an empty concept, for the only idea he could grasp was love. They were untouchable when they were together, the outside world of no consequence, reality nothing but an illusion.
Rosalina's lips formed a smile, and she gently took Kuro's hand in her own. Kuro leaned against the body of his lover, closing his eyes as the wind caressed their forms. The sky was darkening, and the breeze was growing colder. Wordlessly, Rosalina began to lead them back towards the house.
I would continue it... but then yet again it is a drabble so... yeah, not too much I can do about it can I? I hope you all loved it! Anticipate my contest entries sooner or later, they'll be coming this month and then we'll be starting Wizard of Smash! I can't wait for the story! It'll be actual story that gets finished unlike a lot of my other ones I've tried writing since freaking Myths of Adventure! Love you all! Please review!
