Disclaimer: Hmmm, let me think about this… um, wait, hold on. The answer's coming to me… it's um, what is it… oh yeah… No.

AN: I have no idea if this makes sense, heh… I think it does, but who knows...

Anyway, I hope you like it. I got the idea randomly when I was listening to a mixed CD and patting/hugging my dog, lol.

In My Dreams

Every night, Ryou dreams he's in a forest.

It's similar to the one in Duelest Kingdom where Bakura battled Yugi and Yami.

He knows it's different though… how or why, he's unsure. He just knows it is.

It's just like how he always knows exactly where to go to find the small clearing by the waterfall, the one with the rocks that surround the small lake.

On those rocks is where he'll sit, his fingers making ripples as he runs them through the water.

And he might sit there for hours, minutes, seconds, it doesn't matter how long. It always ends the same; arms around his waist, pulling him from the rocks and back into the clearing.

The first time it had happened, he had struggled, but he doesn't anymore, he lets them take him.

He lets Bakura take him, touch him, kiss and claim him.

He knows that Bakura created this place, this dreamworld in his mind.

And it's not like he can stop it, or that he can ask his dark why he does it.

So he simply goes to the forest, plays his part and eventually drifts into a dreamless slumber free of Bakura's presence.

And when he wakes up the next morning, it's with the knowledge of what he… they have done.

But Bakura, he never makes any acknowledgment of this nightly ritual, and Ryou's okay with that.

He'd rather not look too deeply into their actions.

There are rules to follow after all.

Unspoken rules that Bakura seems to have silently told him the first night it happened.

Because Ryou knows them, always has and he will never do anything but agree with them.

Just like he'll never bring it up.

Continuing to 'hate' his dark and want him gone.

The only time he will let himself think about it, is when he's by the lake; sitting carefully between the rocks, waiting for Bakura.

Sometimes he wonders why Bakura's never done these things when they're awake, but usually, the moment those thoughts begin, Bakura's there, distracting him from continuing them.

And really, that's what gave Bakura away in the first place.

It's what first kept and still keeps him from struggling or denying Bakura these dreams.

Because as far as Ryou can figure.

The rule for Bakura, is that he can never have him when it's real.

AN: Yeah, so I don't really know… anyway, review and tell me what you think?
