Frolic In The Leaves By HPFangirl71
"Draco don't be mad at her…"
Ginny smiled mischievously at her husband as he removed his tiny red haired daughter from a large pile of orange and gold leaves. The same pile of leaves he'd been trying to rake up for the past hour.
"I'm not mad, just frustrated. I'm never going to get these leaves raked up at this rate!"
"Well, didn't you ever jump in leaves as a child?"
"Absolutely not!" he replied with that Malfoy air of disdain.
"Of course, I should've known. I don't think you had any fun as a child."
It was times like these when Ginny saw exactly how different she and her husband were. Draco was so stoic and rigid in nature. This made them polar opposites as Ginny was of a more loud and boisterous nature. Draco's family had taught him to be reserved, whereas the Weasleys had brought Ginny up in a more chaotic fun loving way.
Suddenly, she had an idea. She positioned herself behind Draco as he continuously tried to rake up the fallen leaves. She almost doubted her plan as Draco fell headlong into the leaves.
"For crying out loud Ginny!: Draco shouted.
Little Andromeda fell laughing into the pile beside her father. Ginny saw Draco's face soften as her looked into the sparkling grey eyes of their daughter. The little girl threw her arms up in the air, showering them both with crackling leaves. Draco pulled her into his arms, rolling them both in the crisp autumn leaves. Andromeda's tiny tinkle of a laugh intermixed with her father's deep chuckles made Ginny smile too.
"I thought you needed to finish the raking my love."
"Yes, but this… this is way more fun!"
The leaves piled high about the lawn soon became a mess as Ginny joined her family in their fun. All that could be heard was the sound of laughter, as together they spent the rest of the afternoon playfully "raking' the leaves.
