This oneshot is dedicated to rosewhip889 for correctly guessing the answer to a trivia question in my other story, Whe the Coin Melts. Congrats!

"You tell him, Urameshi."

"I'm not telling him; it was your fault!"

"My fault! It was all your fault!"

"Well, I happen to like my head where it is, so I'm not saying a word."

Kurama sighed as he turned the page of his book. Yusuke and Kuwabara's not so quiet whispers really made it hard to concentrate. They were supposed to be doing their homework, that was why they'd come to his house, but they seemed unable to concentrate for more than five minutes.

"Maybe he just won't notice?" Kuwabara whispered hopefully.

"He's going to notice," Yusuke said darkly.

What were they talking about? Kurama was a bit curious, but he decided it was probably best to continue ignoring them. He tried to concentrate on his book once more.

"Do you think he'll kill us?" Kuwabara asked somewhat fearfully.

"…Maybe not."

"We're going to die," Kuwabara moaned.

"Maybe if we do tell him, our honesty will keep him from killing us?" Yusuke suggested.

"Maybe," Kuwabara said. "After all, someone's got to tell him."

Didn't they realize that he could hear every word they said?

"You tell him, Urameshi."

"I'm not telling him! It was your fault!"

And there they were, back at the beginning. Kurama had had enough. He turned around and the teens froze mid debate.

"Either be quiet and do your homework like you're supposed to, or leave," Kurama told them. "I'm getting tired of listening to the two of you bicker."

Their eyes got as big as saucers. Apparently they had forgotten how good his hearing was.

The door to his room opened, and Shiori poked her head in. "Would you boys like a snack?" she asked, and then her eyes widened. "Shuichi! How did you get gum in your hair?"

Gum…in his hair?

He glared at Yusuke and Kuwabara, who hid behind Shiori as she walked in the room. Shiori examined the offending sticky mess and shook her head. "I'm afraid I'm going to have to cut your hair, Shuichi."

Kurama glared again, but only saw dust kicked up by Yusuke and Kuwabara's hasty retreat.

Shiori led Kurama to the bathroom and made quick work of his hair with a pair of sharp scissors. Kurama studied his reflection with his new shoulder length hair.

Finally he decided that he wouldn't kill Yusuke and Kuwabara, despite the fact that they justly deserved such a fate. But he was going to make them wish that he had.
