Looking down from the high cliff, he watched as the grey waves crashed into the rocks with great force repeatedly. The cool ocean wind swept through his pale blond hair and nipped at his exhausted face. He could taste the salt in the air as he took a deep breath in.
Draco slowly stepped forward, placing himself at the edge of the rock ledge, his foot dangling in the air. How easy it would be for him just to finish the step, to jump from the high precipice. He was tired of being alive -nothing that he ever did turned out the way he wanted it to. He was sick of being reminded of his twisted past every time he looked down at his left forearm. Even though it was faded, the outline of his Dark Mark remained -he would have to bear that permanent reminder of a wrong choice for the rest of his days.
His past forced him to be a social outcast -shunned by the community of wizards and witches who were devoted to worshiping the Golden Trio. No one wanted to hear that he had changed for the better -they all expected him to end up for life in Azkaban, like his father.
Draco had decided a while ago that death could no be any worse than this. He was not wanted here, so why should he stay? For his wife and newborn son? Most people would think that those two things were worth enough for him to suffer through life -not him, though. Astoria was not happy with him. She was used to being well liked and that all changed when she got wed to him -she never said anything to Draco, but he knew that she was miserable. And what about Scorpius? His young son who, unfortunately, was the spitting image of his father, would be disliked at school because his dad was a former Death Eater. Little Scorpius didn't have a chance and it killed him inside to know that. His family would be better off without him.
So what was holding him back? He shut his eyes, inhaling the salty air, and took the plunge.

I realize that this probably could not have happened since Draco was in the epilogue. Maybe JKR just forgot to mention that Draco was severely disfigured from an attempted suicide... Not funny, I know.
