Hey everyone! :3 Sorry for disappearing for so long; I sort of lost motivation to post stories, but a review from That's Classified encouraged me to do so. I'm a little rusty on writing, so bear with me that this isn't the best, though I'm sure that the one-shot's will get better as the months go on. ^^

I've also enabled my Private Messaging, so if anyone wants to PM me story ideas and what not, feel free to do so! (:

Rain poured down endlessly as Cammie stood motionless outside of Gallagher Academy, her clothes and hair long since drenched, leaving her completely soaked. Goosebumps appeared on her arms, and shivers crawled their way up her spine.

Her lips were a light purple, and her skin was pale with a few rain drops falling from her eyelashes every so often. In one hand, she clutched a backpack. The other was wrapped around her stomach as she stared at the gates with tear-filled eyes.

This was it. It was time for her to run off, and find the answers she was so desperately seeking. Cammie's lower lip trembled as she made a move to take a step forward, but she suddenly found herself pulled back against a hard, muscular chest, two strong arms wrapping themselves around her and holding her close, as if the rain was threatening to wash her away.

Warm breath tickled her ear and made more tears spring to her eyes, and she was suddenly fighting against the loving hold.

"Please," a broken voice murmured, the figure not relenting their grip as Cammie continued to struggle, "Please don't go."

Cammie bit the inside of her cheek, and didn't stop even when the rustic tang of blood filled her mouth. She recoiled slightly at the words and abruptly slumped against the opposing body, her head hanging limp as the rain continued to drench both of them from head to toe.

"You can't make me stay, Zach. I have to go. Don't you get that? The answers are out there, waiting for me." Cammie tried once more to pull away, but Zach only tightened his grip, and she could hear the pain in his voice as he replied.

"Please Cam." Zach turned her around and held her close, his usual smirk gone. Even the mischievous, witty, and cryptic sparkle in his eyes was absent, allowing Cammie to see, for once, just how strongly Zach felt for her. "You don't have to go. We can fight the COC here; together." She couldn't help but notice the emphasis he put on the last word.

Reluctantly, Cammie began to squirm again, and this time Zach let her go, his expression suddenly blank as he watched her pick up the backpack that she had somehow dropped.

"I really wish I could stay, Zach." It took all of her training to keep her voice steady, and even then, Cammie wasn't able to meet Zach's eyes. "But this is too important. You should know me better by now, Blackthorne Boy." A bitter smile crossed her lips. "Maybe I'll see you soon. I'll visit."

Zach knew she was lying. Once Cammie left, she would be gone until she found exactly what she was looking for. Still, he had one last weapon up his sleeve.

"What about Bex, Liz, Macey, your mother, and everyone else at Gallagher? Are you willing to put them through such devastation?"

Cammie flinched, feeling a tug at her heartstrings, but she clenched her fists and swallowed before answering. "I have to know, Zach. I'm s-sorry."

Her eyes began to water before she turned her back on him and found the strength to guide her through the front gates of Gallagher, and out into the streets.

Zach did nothing but watch her go, a single tear trailing down his cheek and mixing with the rain as it fell and hit the pavement. Goodbye, Gallagher Girl.

Please, review!
