A series of colour photographs depicting the amputation of an arm with an axe is passed between Amanda and Layla.
"Imagine doing the chopping!" Amanda exclaims in horror. Layla shudders slightly and the two friends subconsciously inch closer.
Simon, ever the doctor, steps in with a commanding: "Not as good as sawing. It'd be hard to avoid some degree of bone splintering with an axe."
Amanda and Layla stare at Simon for a long moment, something between nausea and awe sketched across their faces. Simon ducks his head to hide a private smile. He loves grossing out his girls.
