*His First Christmas*

Superboy, honestly, has never celebrated a Christmas before. He guesses living in a test tube, as Kid Flash likes to put it, was the price he had to pay. But now that he's out, he's going to celebrate it. Small problem-he has no idea what to do.

"Superboy, could you help me carry the tree in please?" Aqualad called out. Superboy walked to the other side of the massive green tree and lifted it up by himself. Aqualad walked next to him, trying to start a conversation with him. "Aren't you glad it's going to be Christmas in a few days?" Superboy could only shrug. "Don't know. I haven't celebrated one before."

Out of nowhere, Kid Flash appeared carrying three boxes full of ornaments. "Say what? You haven't? Then this is going to be the best Christmas ever!" Then he was gone. A few minutes late, the older boys reached the 'living room' where Miss Martin, Robin, and Kid Flash were hanging up decorations. Aqualad helped guide Superboy where the tree stand was. After setting it in there and making sure it wasn't going fall over, Kid Flash placed a Santa hat on Superboy and Aqualad, just like he did to himself, Miss Martin, and Robin.

"Now that is done, let's decorate!" Superboy gave a small smile at Kid Flash's excitement. That fifteen year old seems to really love this time of year. Superboy's shirt was pulled on slightly, and he turned to see Miss Martin standing behind him. She had a small blush on her green freckle face. "Umm…..Superboy? Are you going to help?" The clone gave a nod and headed over to the boxes.

The five teens spent the hour decorating the tree. Multiple times Superboy had to lift Robin or Kid up so they could decorate areas higher than they could reach. After the last of the ornaments were put up, they all stood back to look at it. The lights were on and made the ornaments sparkle. Superboy looked at the tree and told the others, "It looks great."

Robin threw his arm around Superboy's shoulders and nodded. "Yes it is. But we're missing something. Look at the top of the tree." They did and notice it was the only bare part of the tree. Robin continued. "We need something to put up there."

A light bulb turned on in Kid's head and he ran into his room to grab something. He came back a few seconds later, holding a small box in his hand. "We can use this!" The teens looked inside to see a star in it. It was middle size, silver in color, and was glass. Kid looked Superboy in the eye and asked him," You should put it up since this is your first Christmas." The others nodded in agreement. Superboy gently picked up the glass star and flew to the top of the tree. He carefully set it on top and then flew down to see what it looked like.

The tree was now completely covered in decorations and looked amazing. Superboy felt Miss Martin's hand slide into his and he gave a small squeeze. Aqualad wrapped his arm around the clone's shoulders, like Robin did a few minutes before. Robin and Kid jumped onto his broad back, laughing, and Superboy and the others couldn't help but laugh too.

Superboy liked the feeling in his chest. It felt warm and fuzzy, something he never felt before. He decided that this was what Christmas was made to feel like. Welcomed, happy, and warm. Superboy decided that he was going to love every Christmas that he was going to spend with this group, his friends. This was an awesome first Christmas.
