Questions to Mother

Did you hate me, Mother?

To name me as you did?

Uncle says you didn't

But Uncle knows how to lie.

I killed him, Mother,

The sand snapped his neck

And made his eyes bleed out

I didn't mean to kill them, Mother

But they pushed me over the edge

All of them mocking me

And none of them my friend

Did you like it when I killed them, Mother?

Did you smile as they died?

I'll gladly do it again, Mother

Then you won't hate me, Mother

If I prove I am not weak

If I never smile, laugh or hug

Or rely on another human being

I'll stay awake all night for you, Mother

Will you love me then, Mother?

You will, won't you, Mother?

Mother?
