Robin was sitting on the couch watching static with Superboy and thinking about his family. His dead family. He knew that Bruce was trying his hardest but he would never be able to fill the hole that his parents deaths had left. But maybe, just maybe, batman and his friends could fill it together. Slowly and cautiously, Robin allowed his mind to wander down that path. He could have a family again. Bruce or batman would be his dad. Artemis and M'gann would be sisters and Wally, SB, and Aqualad would be his older brothers. He would be truly happy. His brain briefly noted that Superboy was looking at him. Slowly, Superboy let his gaze wander back to the TV but couldn't stop what he had just seen from playing over and over in his head. Robin had had ghost of a smile on his lips that, for some reason, looked so much more real than any of his other smiles. Meanwhile, Robin was deciding who would stay where if all his friends were actually his family. Robin couldn't stop the grin that split his face as he imagined Artemis trying to get Alfred to stop calling her Mistress. If only his brain could make it a reality. Aretmis' yell jerked him back to he present and he sighed as he watched the resident archer come running into the room.

"Where the hell did that yellow monstrosity go!" She yelled suoerboy simply pointed towards the training room and they both watched as she took off. The smile had slipped off Robin's face when the archer had entered and he now rethought what his brain had tried to convince him of. He didn't have a real family and he never would. He would have to settle for having friends. The smile came back. He could still have really good friends that would never leave him and even if he couldn't have that family, he could still dream right
