Chapter 1
Rusty's P.O.V.
I sat on the fence of my owners house staring into the forest, when my friends Smudge and Flame came up to me, and sat on the fence with me. Smudge was the first to break the silence. He said to me "so Rusty why are you staring into the trees?" I replied "I feel like there's something out there that I have to explore like I have a longing to catch a mouse or at least something." Flame replied "I've had the same feeling too Rusty." "I want to explore the depths of the forest but i'm afraid that something will happen to me while exploring, like being attacked or meeting one of those forest cats that Smudge keeps warning me about." "Hey it's true!" "I've seen eyes peering out of the forest, my advice Rusty and Flame you should just stay away from there!" While they were talking a blue cat was overhearing their conversation.
Bluestar's P.O.V.
Kittypets! I thought but those two flame colored cats seem the adventurous type, I'll tell Graypaw and Ravenpaw to keep an eye on those two.I walked through the brambles covering the camp entrance I went straight to the apprentices den, I found ravenpaw curled up in his nest and graypaw settling down for the night. My sudden approach startled them. Eventually they calmed down when they realized it was me. "I have a job for you two, Graypaw your job is to keep an eye on a cat named Rusty." "Ravenpaw our job is to keep an eye on a cat named flame, okay?"They both replied, "yes Bluestar" and they drifted off to sleep.
