Title: Goodnight, Eleven

Pairing(s): Amy/Eleven/Rory, Clara/Eleven (implied)
Rating: G
Prompt: from eleventy-kink: It's Amy AND Rory who bid the Doctor good-night.
The final phase of the process is starting. The Doctor can feel his very cells beginning to burn.
He turns his head at the soft, and closed off cry. Oh Clara. His Clara. He wants to give her comfort when he knows he can't. His body is burning so hot with the regeneration energy that even just holding her hand is risky.
The Doctor is so focused on Clara that he almost doesn't hear the footsteps. He turns around, and stares.
Oh.
Ponds...
But... how can they be here? The Doctor feels a sudden lump in his throat. The onslaught of emotions has him biting back a cry as Amy, his mad impossible Pond, is the first one to walk down the steps towards him with a smile on her face.
He doesn't know how he's still able to smile when he's blinking back tears as she places one of her hands on his cheek. He can't even get a word out, so he settles for responding in kind.
"Raggedy Man, goodnight," she says before leaving him with a gentle smile.
The Doctor's body is burning even hotter now. He can feel the change approaching rapidly. It won't be too long now.
Rory is now standing quietly in front of him with a small smile. He doesn't say anything as he takes hold of the Doctor's head, and gently bumps his forehead against his.
The Doctor stands there, with his eyes closed, as he listens to Rory breathing. He doesn't care that he's most likely hallucinating. It's been far- far too long.
Rory pulls his own head back, leans in and gives the Doctor a quick kiss on the cheek, before taking a step back. He smirks, and gives a quick jerk of his head back towards the stairs where Amy had disappeared. The Doctor nearly laughs. Always the quiet one, Rory.
There's a quiet sniffle sound.
The hallucination ends.
Clara is staring at him; her eyes wet with tears. She starts to step towards him when he feels as though he could burst into flames on the spot. The golden strands of light are beginning to wrap around him; his very cells dying off from volcano-like temperatures. Still, though- he puts one of his hands out. Even his regeneration energy starts trying to reach her.
The Doctor nearly joins hands with Clara when his vision goes black. He holds his breath. This must be it then.
That's when he hears someone laugh. There's only one person who can make that sound. Soon after- a quiet chuckle follows.
The Doctor opens his eyes, and discovers he's in a field. A country field from the looks of it. There are small flowers everywhere, and the sky is so blue.
But where was the laugh-? He spins around just in time to get rammed into by a certain Scottish red-head, who hugs him so tight that he can barely breath.
