"I'm sorry Ginny. I was so stupid. I realize now that I could never do this without you. I just wanted you to be safe. I love you and I don't think I could go on living if," "Harry, nothing will happen to me as long as I'm with you. The safest place in the world is where ever you are. Voldemort doesn't stand a chance against you."
"With your love, Ron, Hermione, Neville, and Luna's support, I'm unstoppable. In trying to protect you all, I was weakening myself." Harry kissed Ginny then pushed her up off his lap. "If you'll excuse me for a little while love, I need to find Neville and Luna and apologize to them too. I need all my friends close on this. We all need Luna's shield. I still haven't been able to match"
"Boy, UP! Get in there and fix breakfast." 'Wow what a dream! I wonder if that was all it was, or if I saw the future?'"GET UP YOU WORTHLESS LAY ABOUT!" "Coming uncle Vernon." "Hurry up! Bring me my coffee boy!" "Yes uncle Vernon."
Harry was locked in his cupboard again. He was laying there trying to imagine another place, someone to talk to, to play with. He saw a pretty little red haired girl. He also saw that she was being attacked by what he could only guess to be four werewolves. He thought he was making it up in his head so he pretended to go to her rescue.
"What the heck?" He wasn't sure he was pretending now. He was beside the girl and the beasts were closing in. 'Fireballs!' Harry thought as he raised his hands. First one hand then the other felt really hot. Streams of fireballs were in fact hurtling toward the creatures. Two of them were hit, another avoided the fireballs aimed at it and they all ran away as fast as they could.
"Bless my soul! You're Harry Potter!" The girl exclaimed. "How do you know who I am?" "Everyone knows who you are. You're the boy who lived." "The, ... excuse me?" "The. Boy. Who. Lived." She said speaking slowly and clearly. "You Know Who tried to kill you as a baby, but you didn't die. You either killed him or took away his powers. No one knows for sure. All anyone knows is, he hasn't been seen or heard from since."
"I did that? How could a baby do that to a grown man?" "After seeing you throwing fireballs with your bare hands, I could believe it. How old are you?" "I'm nine. How old are you?" "I'm nearly eight. My name is Ginny by the way. Ginny Weasley. Thanks for saving me. I just knew I was going to die."
"No problem. Were those things werewolves?" "Yes. At best they would have killed me. At worst they would have turned me." "Turned you? You mean, into one of them?" "Yes." "Oh my God! Then I'm really glad I got here! I'm, not sure how I did it. I better figure it out though, or I'm in so much trouble!"
He thought about his cupboard and he was back. 'Wow! I'll never feel trapped again. Even if I just imagined that, it sure felt real. I don't have to feel trapped any more. Ginny Weasley. I wonder if she was real?' Harry hadn't realized it but there was light coming from somewhere. He quickly noticed that he could see clearly. Before he could wonder about it the door unlocked and opened.
"Get out and eat. When we've finished you'll do the dishes. Then it's off to bed with you." Harry sat down to his meager dinner. He was of course finished before anyone else. He started the dishes, being very careful not to break any. He didn't want to be punished any more if he could help it.
Vernon had already gone into the sitting room, Petunia was standing in the open door to the back yard, enjoying the evening breeze and the smell of her flowers. Dudley sneaked past Harry goosing him as he did so. Harry threw the plate he had just washed into the air. 'Come here!' Harry thought desperately. To his surprise, it landed gently in his hands. Dudley was shocked, but no more so than Harry was. He finished the dishes, then went to the loo, and his aunt locked him in his cupboard.
The light was still on. Harry began playing with the broken knight, the only toy he was allowed to play with. Suddenly he saw the girl again. Her family was being attacked by people in black robes with hoods, wearing masks like skulls. He found himself beside her again as three figures were sneaking up behind the family heading for the her. Harry immediately began throwing fireballs at them.
Two of the attackers disappeared, but the third was being hit so hard and fast he couldn't escape. Harry threw another blast at him and he crumpled to the ground. The girl's family had driven off the last of their attackers when Harry heard his cupboard door unlocking in his mind. He touched the girl's shoulder and smiled at her just as he disappeared.
"You were being to quiet. You weren't yelling for the light." "I, I don't seem to need it anymore. I was fine. I was, getting sleepy, as a matter of fact." He lied. His aunt gave him a funny look then she locked the door again. Harry looked around. His cupboard was still lit. 'Couldn't she see the light was on?' He looked at the bulb. It was off. 'What's going on? Where's the light coming from? Why couldn't aunt Petunia see it?'
