Dear Kuroba Kaito,
I've been required to write a letter to you by school, as pen-pals, so I hope you'll reciprocate. Do you like mysteries? You'd better like mysteries. I do. My favourite author is Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and my favourite book is Sign of Four.
I'm eight and a quarter years old, how old are you?
Sincerely, Kudo Shinichi.
Dear Kudo Shinichi,
Yes, I do like mysteries but the Lupin books are the best.
I'm a bit younger then you, eight years and 49 days old.
Sincerely, a magician, Kuroba Kaito.
Dear Kuroba Kaito,
So you do magic? Do you want to do it when you grow up? I want to be a detective when I grow up. I've assisted my father and the police in investigations, so I think that I'll be skilled enough.
Sincerely, Holmes' apprentice, Kudo Shinichi.
Dear Kudo Shinichi,
I do use magic, my dad's a magician, and I do want to keep on doing it for as long as I can. I'm entering a magic competition this week, I'll tell you how do when I find out. Hopefully I'll do well.
And, if you're a detective, prove it. Try solving this riddle.
Two people drink iced tea. One drank their tea so fast that they had ask for more, they end up having five. The one who drank it slowly died. All of the drinks were posioned.
How did this happen?
Sincerely, a magician, Kuroba Kaito.
Dear Kuroba Kaito,
The ice was poisoned. You're good at writing riddles, but not as good as my dad. He once wrote one which had me and Ran, my best friend, attempting to solve for hours, only for him to reveal that he'd wanted us to watch the sunset.
Do you know how your magic competition went?
Sincerely, Holmes' apprentice, Kudo Shinichi.
Dear Kudo Shinichi,
I won! All the tricks I practiced turned out fine, and the judges seemed impressed. Hopefully you can do something similar with you wanting to be a detective.
Sincerely, a magician, Kuroba Kaito.
Dear Kuroba Kaito,
Have you seen the snow? There's an immense amount. Me, Ran, Sonoko, and Nakamichi had a snowball fight. It was great, I won. Hopefully it'll snow like this again. Hopefully soon.
Sincerely, Holmes' apprentice, Kudo Shinichi.
Dear Kudo Shinichi,
Yeah, I've never seen this much snow before, there was so much snow in the garden. My dad helped me build a snowman, although it's mostly gone now.
Tomorrow I'm going to go watch my dad perform, he's doing and escape trick on a rollercoaster.
Sincerely, a magician, Kuroba Kaito.
Dear Kuroba Kaito,
The snow's gone, which is a shame. At least we've got cherry blossoms now.
How did your dad's trick go? I'm guessing he put on quite a show.
Sincerely, Holmes' apprentice, Kudo Shinichi.
Dear Kuroba Kaito,
It's been a while, and you haven't yet replied. We'll be starting grade three soon.
Sincerely, Holmes' apprentice, Kudo Shinichi.
Dear Kuroba Kaito,
Hey? Are you still receiving my letters? Are you okay?
Please reply.
Sincerely, your worried friend, Kudo Shinichi.
