Chapter 1
A/N: Hey guys so... Hope you like this one-shot. BTW this takes place Post-Hogwarts.
James was talking with Rose and said "Don't you think it's weird that even though we're Gryffindors our mascot is the lion shouldn't it be a griffin." Rose said "You shouldn't question these things." James pouted and looked at Rose and said "You know if we don't question things there wouldn't be any ideas." Albus joined in on the conversation noticing some trouble brewing and wanting to keep the peace. Albus said "I'm sorry Rose but James does have a point." James said "So shall we start a riot or something." Rose said "You know we're not supposed to get in trouble while in Hogwarts. Mother would be so mad at me if I get expelled." Albus nodded. James said "Why can't you guys live a little? Rose your uncle was a Hogwarts legend with pranks and Albus I promise I will take the blame if we get in trouble." Rose reluctantly nodded while Albus eager to please his older brother instantly screamed yes. James said "So I'll rally the troops and get started in this campaign. Throughout the whole week Rose contacted all her friends from year 3-7 and told them about the situation. James also gathered some people from Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw to help with the campaign. While Albus being the smartest out of the three started making posters and making a petition book. Albus started going around the school and telling people about the idea to change the Gryffindor mascot. Slytherin's started calling him names just like they did to his father except Scorpius Malfoy. The Slytherin Prince showed some sympathy for Albus Potter knowing how it feels to feel like your not perfect enough. His father Draco Malfoy always expected more from him. Somehow Scorpius convinced most of the Slytherin's to sign the petition. Albus then got all the Hufflepuffs to sign the petition considering he had many friends in that house. He then gave the petition book to Rose and she got all the Ravenclaws to sign the book considering she had a good reputation with them. Then she gave it to and he got the rest of the signatures. When it was finally time to lead the troops into battle the Golden Trio came in the front riding their brooms while leading all four houses to the headmistress' office. Once they stopped at 's room all the teachers were trying to control the students but to no avail. James said "Halt." Then he presented the book to Mcgonagall and said "We have all signed a petition saying that the Gryffindor mascot should change to a griffin instead of a lion." Mcgonagall smirked and said "I see you take in after your father being a rebel and all. But I am must turn down this proposal." Rose spoke like a true diplomat and said "But it makes much more sense." Mcgonagall said "I'm sure it does but we can't change centuries of tradition besides its a lion because a lion is brave." James,Rose, and Albus looked quite sheepish. While Mcgonagall started giving every student detention for being out of class. Rose said "I told you this was a bad idea."
