Author's Note: This is my second -Man fanfic, a spawn of the first that I hadn't gotten around to uploading. I was hoping to incorporate this into the main story, but decided with graduation approaching and no new fic ideas really taking root that this story was better as a one-shot.

As review, I've shrunk some of the characters down to kindergarten age and size, some to first graders, and others get to be teachers. How I did it is sort of arbitrary, considering ones like Bak and Arystar are actually nearer to Komui's age than Allen and co. But I felt like it fit better. That said, I hope you enjoy. =)

Usual Disclaimer: Don't own any of the characters and if I did, I'd be making this kind of thing a reality somehow in the manga or anime, since it would be darn cute.

Allen dove under the table, clinging to the table leg. "He's here," he whispered, staring at the substitute teacher standing in the door way.

"What is the matter?" Arystar asked, leaning his face near Allen's.

"That's Shisho," Allen hissed.

"He-he d-doesn't look too scary…" Miranda put in, trying to be brave.

Allen shook his head. "Well, maybe…but he gambles too much."

The others gasped.

"But that's bad," Miranda whispered.

"Yes. He shouldn't do that," Arystar said, fiddling with his collar.

"I know," Allen hissed. "Last summer, I hadta get a job to help get rid of his debt." He looked like he had seen the brink of oblivion and never recovered.

"A job?!" Bak's eyes were huge. "You had to work?"

"But we're too little to have jobs," Lenalee pointed out.

Allen shook his head fiercely. "Nu-uh. We can weed gardens and wash windows and take care of people's cat when they go on holiday." His voice lowered. "Tim got eated by a cat once." A look of disgust came over his face. "It hairballed him out later."

"Ew!" the girls squealed.

Lavi's and Bak's expressions matched Allen's. "Yuck!"

"That's gross," Arystar said.

"Uh-huh. And I had to clean it up, too."

"That's awful!" Miranda looked like she was about to cry.

"Mhmm." Suddenly, Allen smiled at them. "But that's okay, cuz when I grow up, I'll be so rich I'll never hafta work again!"

"Whatcha want to be?" Bak asked, leaning against the table with his arms crossed. "I wanna be a nuquear phizzercist." He beamed.

"A what?" Allen tilted his head, confused. "What's that?"

Bak looked very serious. "They're really smart and science-y and they make things blow up." He nodded matter-of-factly.

"Oh!" Allen though a moment. "I wanna…play an ins'rument really good and be a bazillionaire."

Arystar tried to blow his hair out of his face. "How will you do that?" he asked.

"Practice a lot." He stopped, realizing this would mean more work. "That, or I want to help people and collect rewards." He nodded. "…I like that one."

"I wanna be a ballerina when I grow up," Lenalee said cheerfully.

Lavi didn't look surprised. "All girls want ta be ballerinas."

"No…" Miranda wrung her hands. Everyone looked at her. She paled. "I…don't wanna be a ballerina. I'd just fall…"

Lenalee took her hands, smiling at her. "Then what do you want to be?"

Miranda licked her lips. "I…I wanna make clocks!"

"Clocks?" Bak raised an eyebrow. "How come?"

Miranda looked him squarely in the face. "I like them. And they like me."

"What's this, baka deshi?" A deep voice boomed suddenly. "Cowering under the table?"

Allen tensed. Slowly, he raised his eyes above the heads of his friends, up the towering black coat until his gaze met with Cross-sensei's half-masked face and mass of red hair. He smiled self-consciously.

"Morning, Shisho."
