There was once a fox named Naruto. He was so alone and all he wanted was a home. He lived in the forests outside the village. He did not like going to the village. You see, Naruto isn't a normal fox, he has the appearance of a human, but the ears and tail of a fox and, on top of that, he had fangs and claws. Because of this, whenever he went to the village, the adults would throw things at him, like stones, and the children would tease him, and when he tried to run away, they would stick their feet out so he would trip and when he fell they would laugh and pour water on him. It so happens that on one of these days Sasuke was going home from the store and saw a group of kids tormenting Naruto as he lay crying. Sasuke strolled over to where they were. When the children saw him coming they ran away. Naruto was scared because of what happened so he ran away before Sasuke could say anything.
Naruto sat in an open meadow crying. He was very hungry, but when he went to the river to try and catch a fish to eat some village women who were doing their washing saw him and chased him away. Now Sasuke was walking in the woods which he did sometimes when he had nothing better to do. It was also relaxing. He came through the trees and say Naruto sitting by himself, sobbing. Naruto heard him coming and got up quickly. He was afraid Sasuke would hit him or something. Instead Sasuke sat down and took a lunch box from his bag pack. He opened it and handed a rice cake to Naruto. He looked at it skeptically; he was not sure what to do. Sasuke looked at him and smiled. Naruto took the rice cake and sat down. Sasuke silently ate his share of the lunch. Sasuke wasn't like the other villagers, he was kind.
Everyday afterwards, Sasuke would visit Naruto in the forest and bring him something to eat. In time Naruto and Sasuke became very best friends, Naruto also found out that Sasuke had lost his parents when he was younger to war, and that Sasuke, like himself, was very much alone too. Naruto was glad he had met Sasuke, and Sasuke was glad he had met Naruto. One day Sasuke did not show up to play with Naruto like he usually did. Naruto waited and waited, he felt so sad that his big blue eyes began to fill with tears. The villagers were trying to keep Sasuke from going to see Naruto because they were afraid he would put the village in danger, but Sasuke wasn't about to let them have their way. He got away from them and headed straight for the meadow. He hugged Naruto tight and apologized for being so late and making him worry. Naruto thought Sasuke wasn't going to come back, he thought Sasuke had abandoned him like everyone else. He told Sasuke that he did not want to be alone anymore. Sasuke felt the same so he asked if Naruto wanted to come and live with him in the village. Naruto's ears perked up and his tail wagged slightly. Sasuke ruffled his blond hair; he took that as a 'yes'.
Naruto went to live with Sasuke in the village, to the villagers' contempt. Even thought Naruto knew they did not want him there he did not mind at all. He was just glad that he wasn't alone anymore. And there was one person who wanted him there at least; Sasuke! And that's all he needed!
