Chapter One

When Lord Edmund Blackadder was ta child, he was the one who always seemed to be the 'leader', the child who decided what they would do that day, the one who has a faithful minion who follows them everywhere no matter what he says to them or how he betrays them. Percy was that 'minion'. If the black haired boy asked him to jump off a cliff he would do it and probably be grateful for the attention Edmund had given him. And if Percy hadn't been much stupider than Blackadder he wouldn't have thought twice about spending his time doing his homework for him. But when Percy got stuck with his studies and asked his friend for help the response he got was, "Sod off." But he remained loyal, taking the blame for smashed windows, saying "It was me who was talking sir, not Edmund." in class and letting him 'borrow' all his money.

There was one occasion where his pocket money hadn't been enough for what Edmund wanted, Percy didn't know what he needed the money for, perhaps he just enjoyed having it. Money did seem to make people more popular, even children. So the young Blackadder had asked him to steal all the silverware from his family's kitchen, of course he was found out after his friend sold it and faced the wrath of his parents but for a little while Edmund seemed to like him. He smiled and seemed happy, so Percy didn't even hint that it had been Blackadder's idea. It didn't matter that he got in trouble, after all, Edmund was happy and he even got a little praise from him. The praise was in reality a, "You actually done something right Percy, good for you."

When they were both adults, Lord Edmund Blackadder was still always followed by his faithful minion. Lord Percy Percy was his first mate when they went on a voyage despite his fear of water and he dressed as a prostitute and done humiliating, degrading things with a mad bishop to save Blackadder's life. Not only that, when Lord Blackadder told him he was sorry he was alive he shook it off as a joke. When he was described by his 'dearest friend' as "a dimwit I can't seem to shake off" he ignored it. When Edmund stole his life savings, saved for when he was old and ill, Percy had to admit to himself he felt hurt. But he soon dismissed it, thinking that he would only do something like that if there was a very good reason. The real reason was that Lord Blackadder had a loan to pay, and he just wanted the extra cash. He'd came across it one night accidentally, ignored the "Please don't steal me." note attached to it and slipped it into his pocket. After all, it wasn't as if that idiot Percy would care. He always forgave him.

This was my first Blackadder fic, I know it was short but it was meant to be. Thanks for reading. Please review.
