Goodbye My Love

After I watched those bastards kill my father, I ran to Derek's apartment. I couldn't stop the tears as they slowly fell from my eyes, I was crying for my loving father. He shouldn't have had to go through that. He shouldn't have been murdered by those stupid, drunk bastards. When I got to Derek's apartment I heard gasping coming from inside.
Scared of what I might find, I turned the knob on the door ever so slowly, readying myself for an attack. When the door was fully opened I peered in and caught a glimpse of someone lying on the living room floor.
"Derek? Are you home?" I called out, hoping to hear him answer back and come walking to the door, that beautiful smile of his making his entire face glow.
To my sorrow the only answer I got was a gasping choke coming from the living room. Freaked out by the noise I slowly crept inside the apartment, edging around the wall. Then I saw him, lying on the living room floor in his own blood, his throat slit. I rushed to his side, tears flowing down my cheeks faster now, as I gently placed his head in my lap.
"Derek! Oh my god, what happened?!" I screamed, looking down at his beaten and damaged body. Derek could only stare up at my tearful face, as he choked on his own blood.
"Please don't die, Derek. Don't leave me alone." I begged as he kept choking, the gargled sounds becoming worse as he neared death. I choked back strangled sobs as I ran my hands through his soft, auburn hair.
Derek's eyes started to glaze over, and seeing my only chance before he left me forever, I bent down placing my lips next to his ear.
"I love you." I breathed, before I heard him sigh in bliss as his pain ended, and he left this world. As the tears streamed down my cheeks, I closed his glazed eyes, and placed a loving kiss on his soft, lifeless lips.
"Good-bye, my love."
