A/N: thought of this a while ago and just got around to writing it last night.

Transformers
"Lance, you will never in a million years believe what I found on the television!" Her voice could've passed as higher than a squirrel's squeal of fear if Lance hadn't tried to block out the pitch of her tone. Ilana raced in from the kitchen where the tv was kept. "There are people like us out there!"
Lance blinked from staring out the window at the cop car that sat outside. It was parked on the curb across the street, blocking his view of the fire hydrant that he liked being able to see in case there was a fire nearby. He didn't like not being able to see the fire hydrant. It made him twitch. "What are you talking about?" he huffed, trying not to be furious with her. His dark gaze was pulled away from the street.
"They're beautiful!" she said, elation clearly ringing in her voice. "They are cars that turn into robotic creatures that fight crime! They're just like us!" Ilana began spinning in circles in the center of the room, arms stretched out wide. She was smiling and laughing before she said, "They must be an ancient race from Galaluna!"
Lance nearly slapped a palm to his forehead. He sighed before asking in a groan, "You got this off the television?"
She nodded, eyes wide and bright with excitement. "They're glorious, Lance! We'd have someone to talk to all the time about our powers and such! And the Titan! They would love to see the Titan!"
Lance shook his head. "Ilana, was it a fictional show?"
She nodded vigorously once more, the excitement glistening in her eyes.
"They're not real, Ilana," he told her sadly, seeing her face fall. "Sorry. That's what television is."
"Oh..." Ilana folded her arms across her chest. "So does that mean the news isn't real? Because I heard that there's an electrical beast on the loose downtown..."
Lance groaned again before bolting off out the front door with Ilana and Octus hot on his heels. He'd have to explain the show 'Transformers' to her later.
