I was sitting on my couch one day watching the news and I glanced outside when I heard some thunder. It was a wonderful week to be at the cottage. Perfect beach weather. Clear skies, sunny, warm breeze, of course that's what I wish it was. In reality it had been a terrible week. And the thunderstorm at that moment was the worst it had gotten. Lightning flashed outside again casting skeletal shadows across the room.

BOOM
Four Kilometers away. With an exasperated sigh I turned of the tv and went to the window to watch the storm. Water droplets streamed down the glass but I could make out the beach and the waves swelling and roaring, tossing sand and foam against the strip of rocks protruding on the left side of the shore.
Lightning struck again and the house lights surged before going out completely.
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?"
I was fed up with the storm and rain.
"Come on Aeolus! Can't you bring some sunshine in here?"
I walked past my bookshelf, where various books by various authors sat not excluding books by one Rick Riordan, and went out onto the porch in the rain.
"Don't let Zeus and Poseidon push you around!"
Thunder.
"ZEUS!"
Lighting.
"POSEIDON!"
Waves.
"WILL YOU TWO FUCKING IDIOTS STOP FIGHTING FOR ONCE IN YOUR STUPIDLY LONG LIVES? YOU. ARE. LIKE. CHILDREN!"
Boom. Crash.
"I swear you two are worse than Thor and Loki! You honestly are the worst gods I know! … Well except maybe Hera… She's a real bitch."
Wind. Rain. Destruction.
"But that's besides the point… JUST SHUT UP WILL YOU? I'm trying to have a nice vacation and your bickering is impeding my entertainment!"
I began laughing to myself (no not maniacally I'm not crazy… Well maybe a bit maniacally…) but that was soon cut short by a booming voice over the sound of crashing thunder.
"YOU DARE SPEAK SUCH BLASPHEMY AGAINST THE GODS!"
I barely had time to utter an "Oh shit." before lightning struck and I was turned into a carp. I flopped on the deck gasping for… air?... water? Sustenance. The rain giving me spotty breaths but ultimately incapable of keeping my fishy form alive. Slowly I felt my last desperate breath leave me and everything disappeared.
My last thought was, 'Damn I don't have any money on me to give Charon…'
