Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter. I do not own the trivia game we
played at that lame bookstore. I do not own clocks. I do not own
fanfiction. I do not own Emily. I do not own Lord of the Rings. I do not
own broomsticks. I do not own Quidditch. I do not own butterbeer. I do
not own the word "fantabulous". I do not own "Twas the Night Before
Christmas". I do not
own.zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...
I have just fallen asleep writing this stupid disclaimer. LETS GET TO THE
POINT ALREADY!
Author's Note: This is sort of a parody on "Twas the Night Before
Christmas". And yes, as you can tell by the story. We are all OBSESSED.
HEHEHEHEHEHEHEH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
'Twas the night of June 20,
and all through the state
the excitement was growing,
people just couldn't wait!
We should have been home,
Asleep in our beds
While Harry Potter danced
Once again through our heads.
But for once we weren't
Just staying up rereading
For in twelve hours time
Through a new book we would be speeding.
I suspect this obsession
Is common not just here,
But everywhere we go,
Be I far or be it near.
People gathered in bookshops
At parties and stores,
Wherever the place,
It was Harry Potter galore!
Full of broomsticks and Quidditch,
The famous butterbeer,
Refreshments and trivia,
And us all in good cheer.
From the movies to stickers,
It was quite a delight,
To be out celebrating
This fantabulous night!
Then we all went Emily's
With our Harry Potter things
And for once, no one mentioned
The Lord of the Rings.
We laughed and we talked,
With our eyes on the clock,
And when it struck twelve,
We were all in great shock.
We knew it was time
To end our countdown,
For the moment was here!
And no one could frown.
So clutching our copies,
We left one by one,
Anticipating the morning,
For when up comes the sun.
It's prescence would mean
We too could arise,
And on a glorious site,
We would feast our eyes.
So we all went to be,
Full of content,
Harry Potter was here!
What was there to resent?
Nothing, perhaps,
Except that since book five was here,
How long till book six?
Please, no more than a year!
I guess that next wait,
Will be practically a tradition.
I suppose we will spend it
All reading fanfiction!
So ends this tale,
Of book five, friends, and fun!
Don't you miss out!
HARRY'S NUMBER ONE!
