Author's Notes: Reading about Severus Snape in the last Harry Potter book made me cry, and I've never 'gotten over it'. It needs closure, and though this poem from Lily's perspective doesn't give it that exactly (if you know of a fanfic that does, please review and tell me), I wrote it anyways and it makes me feel a little better. In a way, their story is even sadder than Romeo and Juliet, because when those two died they could be together forever--but Lily and Severus can't, because Lily married James. That's really the worst part for me. I hope you enjoy it, and please review to tell me what you think!

Oh, and if you read my fanfictions on Discworld, I'm sorry I haven't updated in so long! I've been writing original works, but I'll try my best to get the next chapter up ASAP.

You were there,

And there,

And there,

And we had not a care

You,

Showed me,

How to grasp,

The things I could not reach,

And I,

Showed you,

The light of day,

We laughed,

Our lives away

And you,

Were mine,

And I,

Was yours,

As friends should always own,

And you,

Were there,

And there,

And there,

When I was all alone

But your,

Dark eyes,

Searched for,

Likewise,

Though you were there for me,

I knew you,

And I and you,

Could no longer be,

For your dark eyes,

Strayed to,

Likewise,

For things they should not reach

But you,

Were there,

And there,

And there,

Though I was long gone,

And you,

Were there,

And there

And there,

While you were all alone,

Still you,

Were there,

And there,

And there,

Though I tried not to care

And I,

Know you,

Still love me,

Though I am out of reach,

And you,

Know I,

Am long gone,

Something you cannot seek,

And I,

Live out,

My happy days,

Try not to think of you,

But sweet memories,

—What I don't say—

Make me miss you, too

And death,

Takes me,

Far away,

But I'm still in your thoughts,

And you,

Watch me,

And watch,

My son,

Though we were never one,

Yet you're still there,

And there,

And there,

And you still so care,

You are there,

And there,

And there,

Though I am lost,

For your

Dark eyes,

Looked for,

Likewise,

For things they should have not,

I wish,

I could,

Whisper,

My thoughts,

Into your sleepless heart,

But though you can't

Be my beloved

Of my soul,

You are a dear, sweet part,

And you're,

Still there,

And there,

And there,

To fight in my name,

And I know you'll,

Be there,

And there,

And there,

And there

Always

A/N: Again, please review! And if you've read Discworld, check out 'Welcome to Death's Domain' by Purple Peanutbutter because it's totally absurd and hysterical.
