This is for Avatarluvs "One Word" Challenge... You have one word and that's the only dialogue you can use... And I know I should be focusing on my other story but I'm almost finished with the next chapter... Well, enjoy reading...
Everywhere were cries of pain and the shouting of curses and hexes.
Coloured light bolted in every direction. Remembering the tough months of her auror training, Tonks tried her best to dodge every curse aimed at her or just missed his target as she ran through the battlefield. She had to find him. Remus. Her husband and the father of her newborn son. Immediately guilt flooded in her. Teddy, sweet little Teddy. She had left him with her mother because she couldn't just sit home and wait. Not knowing what was happening at Hogwarts. So she stood up from the blue fluffy couch at her mother's home, handed Teddy to her mother and with a quick kiss she dissapparated to Hogwarts.
Now she was frantically looking around for a glimpse of her husband while saving a frightened boy who couldn't be older than fourteen from a death eater who'd been about to kill him. She hit the death eater with a full body bind hex, quickly conjured a portkey for the boy and shoved it in his hands before he could thank her. The boy disappeared and she started running again. At last, she found him. The happiness of having finally found him got quickly replaced by worry and sacredness. He was fighting two death eaters at the same time and was slowly driven in a corner. The three of them didn't notice her as she slowly raised her wand and pointed it at them. She quickly stunned the two death eaters, not wanting to kill anyone no matter how many horrible things they had done. Remus looked at her, surprise, fury and love evident in his expression. He wanted to say something but she didn't gave him the time as she placed a quick kiss on his mouth. The kiss was enough to shut his mouth. She gently took his hand and said the only word that could express what she was feeling right now.
"Together"
He simply nodded and they both walked right into the battlefield, hands still intertwined.
They both knew they wouldn't make it out alive. But they were going to fight, and they were going to do it together.
And that was all that mattered.
Loved it? Hated it?
You can always tell me in a review... (hint, hint)
Love... from me...
