I wrote this before series 4 of doctor who was out

Personally I like it better than any of the previous stories I've written

(aside from my comic book which I should be working on right now but cant be arsed to do)

Welp… enjoy

I got the title and one of the lines from the Atari's song "bad case of a broken heart"

Dårlig ulv stranden:

Over the sound of the sea, a resonant echo sounds.

A lone man walks heavily from his worn blue box, pulls out a picnic blanket from one of his bottomless pockets, and sits.

He knows this is the wrong beach, he'll find a way across one day, even if it means he'll be trapped there.

He sets out a picture in a frame. It's a repeating hologram of Rose trying to ruffle his hair and kiss him on the cheek.

He pulls out two bottles of beer leaves one in the sand next to the picture and opens the other.

He toasts to the sea and sings quietly to himself.

"Here's to you my best friend. Just wanted to say that I miss having you around."

He remembers a time when they went down to the beach.

Not this beach mind you, it was a beautiful beach with white sand and palm trees.

Not dreary like this one.

They held hands as they got closer to the water.

He tried to write a message to her in the sand.

He got as far as 'Rose Tyler I L' before she ran off to chase some seagulls.

He stared out, over the white capped waves, his eyes misting over.

He was startled out of his reverie by the sound of the other beer bottle hissing open and someone clinking their bottle against his.

"cheers." He knew that voice.

He knew he was hearing things.

He dropped his beer and covered his face. His tears falling freely.

Nobody was there to see them anyways.

Arms wrapped around him and rocked him until the tears stopped.

He didn't want to open his eyes.

He knew she'd be gone.

He also knew that he had to get up and continue searching for a way to get to her.

Reluctantly, he opened his eyes and looked up.

"Don't waste your beer Doctor, there are sober kids in America." Rose laughed through her own blurry eyes.

He just looked at her like a lost child.

"Rose?"

She nodded.

"Oh Rose, my Rose!" He hugged her tightly, his nose in the crook of her neck.

"I missed you my Doctor."
