"We need to promise each other. Ten years, and we'll all be here again. Right here at the lake, no excuses." At the lake house on graduation evening, six friends form a pact to meet again at the exact same place in ten years. With their futures off in many different directions, how will they fare once they meet again? AH. Canon couples.
The Ten Year Pact - I don't own Twilight.
"Sometimes being a friend means mastering the art of timing. There is a time for silence. A time to let go and allow people to hurl themselves into their own destiny. And a time to prepare to pick up the pieces when it's all over." - Octavia Butler
Chapter one
Friday.
It's the day you anticipate all week, yet once you actually get there, you find it harder to get out of bed than any other day. Except maybe, Monday. Friday is the day you set for the teeth cleaning, the lunch time pedicure, the pap smear you've been putting off...But then decide you'd rather lay on the couch while watching bad reality television and eating your weight in ice-cream than have a middle aged man stare at your vagina while your legs are up in the stirrup things at the Gynecologists.
Friday is the day coffee tastes it's absolute best.
The steaming mug of energy was in my hand as I moved the egg I had cooked from the pan to the top of my toast. Breakfast was the most important meal of the day, or so they say. Also, I could be a bitch when I didn't have something in my stomach. Hangry was my middle name.
I lived in a nice two bedroom plus den apartment in Queen Anne, Seattle. The building was originally a gorgeous, Northwestern style mansion that had been converted into several apartments a few years before I moved in. My home was my baby, I bought my apartment last year after working my ass off and saving all that I could for years, this apartment represented all of the overtime I worked, and weekends away I missed to be able to afford it.
Being not quite twenty nine, I had my fair share of life experiences; travel, boyfriends, drunken dances down the street followed by a three a.m taco...
But I had yet to settle down. I did want a family one day, in fact, I thought I might be close to settled down by now. But no one had stuck yet, not through lack of trying, I had dated every kind of man you can possibly think of. But I subconsciously had someone that they all would never compare to.
I have worked at Volturi publishing house as an editor since graduating college, it was a good job with good pay and I could work at home for the most part, which meant I could easily spend my days in my silk P.J's if I wanted too. Which I totally did.
By 9:30 a.m, I was sitting comfortably in my den, working like a mad woman. I really enjoyed my work and it was good to be able to put my English degree to good use.
I was completely absorbed in editing some John Green-esque novel about dying and being in love while downing my second Cup-of-Joe for the day, when my cell phone went off, making me almost knock the coffee out of my hand.
"Alice," I spoke into the phone in lieu of a hello, having seen her name pop up on the caller i.d. "To what do I owe the pleasure, miss?" Alice and I had been friends since we were in diapers, our mothers met during a Lamaze class when they were both pregnant. Alice was two weeks older and she had never let me forget it to this day.
"Hey Bells, Em wants to have drinks tonight at Murray's." Emmett being one of my oldest friends also. "Kate and Garrett are in too, you coming?" She unnecessarily shouted into the phone, obviously out in the city center somewhere, the sound of car horns in the background.
Murray's was a hip little Irish pub in downtown Seattle we had stumbled upon a few years back, it was perfect for us; not too loud, so we could hear each other and have actual conversations, but loud enough that Emmett's natural bellow wouldn't disrupt the other people too much.
I had met Emmett in the first year of middle school, we were partnered up in gym and my natural clumsy nature had him in fits of giggles - yes the boy giggled - and we were tight ever since. I admired his ability to get along with anyone, and that he never judged a book by it's cover.
"Sure, sounds good," I nodded at no one, sipping my coffee. "It's been a while. What time?"
"Eight-ish, but I've told Em seven-ish." Emmett wasn't one known for being on time.
We chatted for a few more minutes, before hanging up. I was looking forward to seeing my people, being an adult came with a lot of responsibilities and sometimes seeing your friends had to come in second until your work load lessened. But it was something we all went though, so I couldn't complain.
By 7:40 I was showered, my hair and make up was done, and I was dressed in a manner Alice would approve of while still feeling like myself. I had on a simple white blouse, paired with a black leather, high waited skirt and black heels.
I spritzed on a little of my perfume at the base of my throat as I heard a beep outside, alerting me that the cab driver I called was here. Grabbing my purse and keys, I locked up and headed out.
Kate and Garrett were the first there once I entered the bar, already sitting in our usual spot; the corner booth in the middle of the room. Garrett's arm was lazily around his girlfriend as she drank what looked like a Cosmopolitan. "Hey guys!" I called as I neared them.
"Yo Bella! Long time, no see." Garrett had just returned from a business trip in Oregon a couple of days ago. Kate simply smiled sweetly and waved at me.
Kate was my dorm roommate, my first year of college at WSU, we hit it off immediately and it only took Emmett two weeks of jealously and complaining about his 'Always high as a kite' roommate Jared before he started to warm up to Kate. Garrett was a freshman when we were seniors, he was being tutored by Kate and somehow managed to charm her pants off, literally. They had got engaged on Christmas eve last year and we were all lucky enough to be a part of the wedding party, I was excited to be a maid of honor for the first time.
Alice arrived only two or three minutes after me, never a woman to be late. I left placing my order until she arrived, so we both went to the bar together. "We better get Em a beer too, I bet he's chomping at the bit." I decided.
Alice nodded. "You're such a mom, Bells." I smiled, agreeing. I had kept these two out of many sticky situations in college. Once you've seen a bear sized man running down the street, naked, drunk, and giggling like a school girl, you've seen everything.
Speak of the devil, and the devil doth appear. "Hey peeps" Emmett boomed as he plopped down next to Alice in the booth, taking the beer he already knew was his and spared no time in chugging it down. I looked over Alice's pixie cut and smiled at him. "Rough day?" I asked.
"Eric is on my ass to pick up another boot-camp class, Peter got a leg injury and can't teach it." He shook his head. "So guess who got it?" Emmett was a personal trainer and specialized in weight training, one thing he hated were the cardio boot-camps his co-owned gym offered. But when you have partners in the ownership of a business, you had to compromise, plus it was a good seller.
Alice was practically bouncing in her seat the whole time we were there, Garrett went over all that happened at his business trip, and Kate followed up with a few cute stories about her preschoolers. I mentioned the book I was editing, and Emmett complained some more.
By 10:50 Alice was positively vibrating as she finished her third glass of red wine. The girl was hiding something for sure. Kate was all but napping on Garrett's shoulder at this point in the evening, kids can be really tiring. "Okay, I'd better get this old thing home." He liked to joke about their small age difference, just to get a rise out of her. She was too tired tonight to really care however. "Can we get Dairy Queen on the way home?" She slurred. Half from tiredness, half from the four Cosmo's in her system. "Of course, babe." He said, kissing her forehead.
The two said their goodbyes, and were gone. We spread out a bit more in the booth, Em's size always made us shoulder to shoulder when we were in our group usually.
"I have news." Alice finally burst. Her smile brighter than the 'Kiss me I'm Irish' light above the bar.
I checked my watch. "11:02. pay up," I put my palm out to Emmett. While Alice was in the bathroom earlier, we had made a bet to see how long she would last before blurting out whatever it was that she was hiding. He said she couldn't hold it until eleven, I had faith in her and said after. After a lifetime of knowing her, we knew her 'tell'. Emmett grumbled as he shoved a twenty dollar bill in my hand.
She just ignored our little squabble and continued to jiggle in her seat. "Okay, so I was talking to my mom a couple of days ago, and she had been talking to Mrs. Stanley, who had been talking to Mrs. Cope, who had -"
"- Alice, we don't need the entire list of the population of Forks." Emmett, interrupted. She just ignored him, and continued. "Mrs. Cope had coffee with Mrs. Cullen a week ago." I halted slightly at the name, having not heard it in a while, but said nothing. "And guess what?"
"She's not pregnant is she? She's my mom's age and I think at this point all she'd have to feed the kid is dust out of her boobs." I slapped him over the head. Esme Cullen was easily the sweetest woman to ever exist. "Go on Alice," I added, my interest piqued.
"Well," She paused, before blurting a whole sentence together. "Edward-is-coming-home-and-might-end-up-here-in-Seattle." Her sentence was a little jumbled, but I got the gist of it. Edward was moving back, and I didn't know how I felt about that. Happy for the most part, he was a part of our old friendship group.
"Wow." Was all I ended up contributing.
Emmett raised his arms high up in the air, woo-hoo-ing with all his might. "Awesome, maybe there can be another guy in the group!" His booming voice scared the people in the booth next to us, causing them to send dirty looks our way.
I smiled apologetically at them. "Yeah." I added pitifully, twirling a strand of my long hair around in my fingers.
"Wait," Emmett said quickly. "How many years has it been since graduation?" I did the math quickly in my head. "About... Oh."
"Ten years." We all said at the same time, staring at each other. If my math was correct, it would be ten years exactly on the 20th of May this year. One month away. Tears started to well up in Alice's eyes, which of course set me off. "Do you think we should?" She asked. I only nodded.
What shocked me the most was Emmett's silence, nothing could shut the kid up usually. "You okay?" I asked, rubbing his shoulder.
"Yeah, I just...Time went by so fast, but so slowly at the same time. You know?" I nodded, I knew exactly what he meant.
We all parted ways before midnight, promising each other our usual hangover brunch the next morning. Emmett and Alice shared a cab because they lived on the same side of town and it would save money.
Edward was coming home. My old friend, my only friend-crush, and one of the five people who made up the best group of friends I had ever had in my life, to this day. Of course two of them were still with me, but when you have the set...It was magical. We all worked together so well, and we all had our role.
Knowing Alice and Emmett would want to talk more about this in the morning, I wanted to take my mind off of it. Pulling my phone out of my purse once I was inside the warm cab, I decided to do just that. "Is this a booty call?" Jacob's gruff voice said through the phone sleepily, when he answered. "Well, that depends..." I alluded. "Do you have any booty you wish to share?" I added, flirting with my boyfriend.
"For you? Always." He added, and I could hear the grin in his voice.
"Well good, because I'm a little drunk and a little horny. Please take advantage of me." I purred, ignoring the Cab guys odd stare at me. We hung up and I was at his place before I knew it.
He was in nothing but a pair of boxers when he greeted me at his door. "Hello Madam," He said, waiting for me to take off my coat. "I believe you were after some booty?" Two hands snaked themselves around my waist as I put my coat on the hook.
I played along. "Why yes, I did. Do you care to show me?" I queried as I stared up at him, pulling his boxers down slowly as I spoke. He was already sporting a half-y and I didn't care for anymore playing. I kissed him firmly, showing him the game was over and that I wanted him. Jake was always good at knowing what I wanted from him, and right now I needed him to shut my mind up. "Bedroom." I stated, singularly.
He cupped both my ass cheeks with his giant hands and lifted me, both of my legs immediately going around his waist. Foreplay was pretty usual, nothing special but it had me panting as he rose his head up from between my legs, slipping himself into me without a word.
What Jacob lacked in conversational skills, he made up for in this. He pumped with everything he had and I met his thrust with a tightening of my most private areas. His moans got louder and I knew he was close. Jacob moved his weight to one arm, pulling the other down to circle around my little bundle of nerves.
Before long, I was crying out in pleasure. Jacob thrust for another minute before releasing himself inside of me.
His snoring never bothered me, it was his arm that hung over my body that made me a little peeved. This huge arm left me unable to get water or pee without having to alert him of it.
In my trapped, post orgasm state, I drifted into my thoughts. One of my best friends was moving close again, and we could very well be seeing my two other oldest friends very soon, as we promised we would. I also remembered the evening I shared with Edward that night.
I was laying naked in bed with my boyfriend of two years, after having had an orgasm, thinking about the boy who had given me my first orgasm...
As I drifted off to sleep, I thought of that day.
"I'd like to congratulate you, Class of 2005!" Principal Varner Shouted into the microphone. We all erupted out of our seats, throwing our graduation caps high into the air, cheering and hugging anyone close enough to be hugged.
"Bells!" My dad, Charlie called from the distance. I made my over to him fast. "I'm so proud of you, Munchkin." He cheered, catching me in an warm hug. The pride in his eyes was simply melting out of him.
"Congratulations, Isabella." My mother, Renee's voice called behind my father. This was the first time I had seen her since I was sixteen, not that I hadn't tried, but she was always busy during something 'important' with her husband Phil.
I nodded at her, smiling. Deciding it would be best, I wrapped her into a small hug as well.
We had never been super close, my mom and I. Her and my dad divorced when I was seven, and they equally agreed to keep me in Forks with him. At the time, she wanted to go back to school while Charlie had a stable job. It made the most sense.
I also think a part of her was happy to have me away from her for extended periods of time, she was never the maternal kind and sort of just made it up as she went.
We agreed to meet at the steak house in a half an hour, so they were off. I was driving with my friends, so I looked around for them, enjoying the people-watching I did as I searched.
"Congrats, Miss Valedictorian." A velvet voice said into my ear. I turned, smiling, I knew who it was. "You too," Edward threw an arm over me and we hugged tightly, I breathed in his masculine scent.
Edward and I had been friends since high school when he and his parents moved from Alaska. He was on the football team with Emmett and Jasper. When he got close with them, Naturally he began to get close with the rest of us. We were all a package deal.
He was immediately popular right off the bat, especially with the ladies. I was never shocked by this, he was obviously very gorgeous. Strategically scruffy hair, the greenest eyes and charm that could make you melt.
I never told anyone of my small crush on him, and it was small. I valued his friendship more than being one of the many that he had on his arm as the weeks went by. I swear that guy dated more women in school, than I owned shoes. He was never cruel to them, he just never wanted a relationship. I could respect that.
Mike Newton was my boyfriend for most of high school, he managed to woo me in the middle of freshman year. Though we had recently broken up, just after prom. I didn't want to be going to college with a long distance relationship to handle as well as my new work load. Mike was staying in Forks to eventually take over his fathers business, and I sure as hell didn't want to be in Forks forever.
We found Emmett and Rosalie making out behind the bleachers. Their usual hiding spot. "Stop sucking each others faces off and come celebrate, we gotta be at the steak house in twenty."
Emmett and Rosalie had been on-again off-again for as long as I could remember, they were currently on-again apparently.
They detached themselves and Rose walked over to me. "Lipstick?" She asked, pointing to her face. I took my finger and fixed the little smudge under her bottle lip, while she fixed a wayward hair the graduation cap was no doubt responsible for. When I turned around, I caught a lovely shot of Emmett adjusting himself in his jeans.
"You know you can turn around and do that, right?" Edward quipped at our friend, that crooked smile making it's first appearance of the day. "There are ladies present."
Emmett shrugged. "It's nothing they haven't seen before." He was right, but for different reasons of course. We laughed, and Emmett flung an arm around Edward's shoulders, then mine. Squeezing us tight.
"What about me?" Rosalie mock pouted, stamping her foot for emphasis. "I'm planning on wrapping something else around you later, babe." Just as she rolled her eyes at his remark, I groaned and Edward said under his breath "What does that even mean?", a flash went off from the end of the bleachers.
"Memories!" Alice animated, Dancing up to us. Jasper trailed behind, smiling at his girlfriend. He mimed a small "sorry" to us, be we knew he wasn't really.
We chatted about all that went on for a few minutes. "That speech was great Bee, it's a good thing you're studying English in the Fall." Rosalie commented as we all made our way to the parking lot. "It wasn't too 'Our future is ours, we are going to be awesome!' was it?"
Edward shook his head, tilting it to look down at me. "You're too modest Bella, you were fantastic." I smiled, we were the only non-paired couple of the group, which meant we had gotten really close these past few years.
We all piled into two cars, Emmett's and Edward's. The dinner was pretty good, all but the coldness my mother was giving to Esme that is. I think her naturally maternal presence unnerved my mother.
"You guys off to the lake?" My dad asked. I nodded, wiping my face with my napkin as he slipped cash into the bill slip. "I just need to get my stuff from home, Em and Rose are picking me up." They were the closest to my house. My poor truck was wheezing no more as of about a month back, and I had been getting rides off of my friends ever since.
"The lake?" My mother butted in.
"Every summer since we were fifteen, we have spent time at the Cullen's lake house." I selfishly wanted to get a rise out of her, I knew she wouldn't like the idea of me staying anywhere Esme might have been involved.
"Oh," she said, pointedly turning to Charlie. "And you don't mind her staying at a house with boys and no supervision?" Oh, now she was deciding to be a mother?
I simply rolled my eyes at her, as did Charlie. "They're not just boys Renee, they're her closest friends." He shot a knowing look at me. He wasn't comfortable with the idea when we first started going to the lake, but once he knew they were no threat, he relented.
"And," He added. "Bella is a very trustworthy young lady." I smiled again at my father, I was glad they made the decision to keep me here. What would I have ended up like if I moved with Renee?
"You ready to go kid?" Charlie asked, once the check was paid. I nodded, happy to stretch my legs and let Renee get back to her hotel.
My packing was already done, so I just had to wait until Emmett and Rose came...Half an hour late, and I thought it best not not ask why. The stupid grins they were giving each other was answer enough.
The lake house was just as you would imagine it to be, grand, white and old-timey. It was the highlight of my year coming here, and this was the first time it would be without Carlisle and Esme as chaperones. You know what that meant.
"Where are the beers?!" Emmett bellowed as we entered through the front door, I rolled my eyes at him, headed straight for my room. It was a pretty, blue room that I would share with Alice usually, but given the circumstances, I had it all to myself this time.
I plopped my case onto the chrome metal bed, unzipping it to unpack. "They're at it already," A voice announced itself at the open door. I laughed at Edward. "And you wouldn't too if you had a lady here?" I joked with him, raising my eyebrows as I put my bathing suits in the one of the drawers.
He shook his head with a smile, playing along. "I could never bring a girl here, you know the rules." I did, he never let a girl in his house unless it was me, Rose or Alice.
"That includes the lake house?" I asked.
"Why would I want to ruin my time with you guys?" His words were honest.
"You can hang out here, if you like."
"Bless you," He bowed his head. "I can help." He began to take a top out of my suitcase, putting into the open drawer. The next hour or so were spent with me slapping my panties and bras out of his hand as he wiggled his eyebrows at me. So much for helping Cullen.

Hot-dogs and S'mores were had around the bonfire Emmett and Edward set up, the beers Rosalie and Jasper's older cousin got for us were shared and now we we watching my two favorite idiots dance around the fire.
"We all live in a yellow submarine! yellow submarine, yellow submarine!" Alice's voice echoed through the near woods as we all laughed at Emmett trying to crump to her voice. Not the right music for it, and he looked more like a epileptic grizzly bear than a street dancer.
I smiled sadly, pulling at my sweater sleeves. "You okay?" Edward asked, sitting in the fold-out chair next to mine. "I'm really gonna miss this."
Jasper piped up. "Why? It's not like we won't do this again."
"Bella is right, Jaz. We all say we'll do this forever, but how do we really know?" Rosalie sighed, slumping into her chair.
"Don't say that." Alice plopped down in Jasper's lap, the song obviously over now. Emmett dropped onto the sand at Rosalie's feet, he was very silent right now.
Alice continued. "We have summer's all of college, I might be in Cali, but you two are going to WSU together." She pointed at Emmett and I. "You guys can make sure the gang comes every year, you'll both still be in the state."
I bowed my head, I didn't want tonight to be like this. This discussion was meant for tomorrow, tonight was supposed to be fun. We had been swimming and got drunk together, and laughed until our stomachs hurt. I felt Edward's hand cover my own, comforting me.
"Ali, They're right." Edward added himself to the conversation. "I'll be in Chicago, Jaz and Rose will be in Texas..." He paused. "College is something none of us have experienced yet, how do we know we'll even find the time?"
Alice frowned at him, "We'll make the time, that's what friends do."
"But what about if one of us gets an internship, or more? We'd be stupid not to take it." Rosalie interjected.
I nodded. "Maybe we should just play it by ear...?" I offered. squeezing Edward's hand.
"No." Emmett spoke for the first time, unusually firm and knowing. "We need to be real here." He stood up, commanding attention. "The chances that we will ever be as close as we were are slim," I knew I was excluded from that, given we were going to the same college. "We will make new friends, and have new responsibilities...Maybe even date new people." He stare pointedly at Rose, before he went on. "We might not even be friends in ten years."
"Don't say that!" Alice was tearing up, as was I.
It was Jasper's turn to speak up. "He's right Darlin'," His mild southern accent showing though. "None of us want it. Hell, it's the last thing I want." I got the sense he was talking about something else entirely right now. "But it could happen."
She simply cuddled into his shoulder, no longer speaking.
Emmett, however was pacing back and forth so fast the sand was flinging around. "We need to make a pact with each other. A promise." He paused, thinking things over in his head. "Ten years, it doesn't matter how close we are or how much drift apart. It doesn't matter if we hate each other or some of us are married with kids." He stopped his pacing. I had never heard him talk for so long without making a joke.
"We need to promise each other. Ten years, and we'll all be here again. Right here at the lake, no excuses."
"Deal." I said immediately. "Me too." Edward added. We all confirmed our pact with each other, and laughed at how weird it was to see Emmett so serious.
Rosalie giggled. "Don't worry guys, he'll be back to fart jokes in a second." Em nodded profusely, making us laugh again.
This was how it was supposed to be, six best friends joking and laughing around a camp fire. Once the fire was dying out, Alice was snoring quietly in Jasper's lap. He carried her back into the house to put her to bed. Rosalie and Emmett we whispering something in each other's ears before chasing each other inside.
"So, it's just us." Edward said. I nodded, wrapping my arms around myself as the chill of the night air was beginning to get to me. "Come on," He nodded toward the house. "I'll make us some tea."
We didn't bother to pack anything up, deciding it would be better as a group effort in the morning. We sat on the couch in the family room, tea in our hands, chatting about the universe and all that was in it. This was Edward and I in a nutshell, we could be all jokey and mock flirty, but deep down we enjoyed that we could have a serious and deep conversation with each other.
I was still a little buzzed from the beers that had been consumed, so I was feeling a little confident. "So, what will you miss the most about me, Cullen?" I tilted my head at him, beginning our play-flirting routine. Only, I was genuinely curious about his answer.
He suddenly looked all serious, placing his cup down on the coffee table, he turned to me and simply stated. "Your ass."
"Oh, shut up!" I laughed, hitting him with my free hand. He joined in, putting my cup down for me before I spilled anything. He knew me too well. "I'm serious." I added. My elbow resting on the back of the couch, my hand holding my head up.
"Seriously?" He asked. I only stared, waiting. He took in a breath. "You're the only one I can be like this around, to everyone else I'm football captain Cullen, or ladies man Cullen." He looked down. "I like that I can just be Edward with you, so I guess I'll miss that." I grinned at that, I liked that too. "What will you miss about me?" He gave the question back to me.
I rolled it over in my head. "You're ass." I deadpanned, getting the grin I wanted out of him. "Oh, shut up." He copied my words form earlier.
"I'll miss that you would drop everything, even if you were on a date or asleep, to come to our rescue." And he had, on more than one occasion. "And I'll miss our conversations, I can't get those with Emmett." I wondered what college life with him would be like, I shuddered at the thought of what was to come with Em.
Edward's signature smile hit his beautiful face. "What are you thinking about so hard?" There was something in his eyes at that moment, something so sincere and sure but so hidden. My drunken mind was distracted easily, however.
My confidence grew. "Can I ask you something?" I started, he nodded. "How come you've never hit on me?" Alice and Rosalie were always off limits, but I could have been hit on by him, had he wanted too.
I realized too late that the reason he hadn't might have been simply because he didn't see me like that, I opened my mouth, ready to take back my words but he spoke before I could. "I wouldn't want to loose what we have Bells, I don't do the girlfriend thing, and that's what you were made for."
"What is that supposed to mean?" I didn't want to get angry, but I was confused.
"I just mean that you're like the perfect girlfriend, you're what every guy wants in a girlfriend." His hand raise to hold my cheek. I couldn't help but lean into it. "You don't want me?" I couldn't help but ask.
He shook his head. "You're too gorgeous for words Bella, but I wouldn't want to cross a line."
"There would only be a line, if we drew one." I didn't know where I was going with this, I only knew that I liked the fire that was beginning to show in his eyes.
Edward halted. "And I thought we did."
Without thinking, I kissed him. Only lightly, but a real kiss none the less. I pulled away slightly when he didn't respond but his lips met mine again with talent. This boy could kiss, now I knew what all the hype was about. A hand of his wove itself into my hair while other tentatively placed itself on my hip.
It began to get more heated as time went on, before long, we were panting. "Do you?...I mean, should we?..." I was too scared to ask.
"Do you want to?" He queried, looking into my eyes as he held my face. "Please," Was all I said. We scrambled our way to my bedroom as it was closest, making out as we went. "You don't have to do this Bella." He stated, but I simply covered his mouth with my hand. "I want to."
Clothes started coming off before we even hit the bed, and we fell onto it when I tripped over my jeans. Making us laugh again. Thankfully Edward always keeps a condom in his wallet.
I wasn't a virgin, Mike took care of that Junior year. But Edward made me feel nothing I had ever felt before. But mostly loved. Mike and I never loved each other, not really. But the love Edward and I felt was due to years and years of friendship and respect.
We moved in sync, my arms held by his hands above my head as he tenderly sucked on my right nipple. I tried to keep the moans quiet, but he was making it difficult as he whispered sweet but oh so sexy words into my ear. I rolled us over to gain some control, and he moved his hands to my ass to help me grind against him.
His eyes rolled back into his head as we did this, His grip on my tightened as I ground myself down on him, my hands holding my hair back while biting my lip - keeping the moans at bay. "Bella," He whispered. "So. Good."
We didn't last long after that, I had began to bounce the second he put his fingers on my sensitive bud. "Bella, please...Now." My body did as he asked, coming for the first time in my life. "Ed...ward," I whispered, my mouth making an 'o' shape as I fell into the abyss.
He followed right after, slowly pulling me off of him and onto his chest. "Well." He started, catching his breath. "At least we don't have the curiosity of that anymore." I was instantly worried. Did he not like it? I wasn't as experience as some of the girls he had been with, maybe I didn't meet up to the expectations he had.
I hesitated. "Was I not...Good?" I asked, embarrassed. "What?" His face turned to me, puzzled. "Bells, that was so fucking good. You have to know that." I smiled.
"It was, wasn't it?" I agreed, kissing his barely hairy chest.
"Bee, you have the single most sexiest come-face I've ever seen."
"I do?" This was news to me. He looked at me like I was crazy. "Yeah, it's what sent me over the edge."
We drifted off to a calm slumber. When we woke up, it wasn't as weird as I thought it would be, but naturally it was a little awkward. We didn't avoid each other, but kept our distance, silently letting each other know that it was a one time thing.
The whole air of our group had changed though, and I didn't think it was completely because of us. Alice and Jasper weren't as cuddly as they used to be, and it seemed like Rosalie and Emmett were off-again...again.
Jasper, Edward and Rosalie took one car, the rest of us took the other. And that's how it was like for the rest of the summer. Rosalie and Jasper were the first to leave, they were staying with their Uncle to get used to the town. Edward was next, and despite the awkwardness, we hugged tightly at the airport as he went.
Alice held out as long as she could, but because she was a sorority pledge, she had to leave a week early.
"Looks like it's just you and me, Kid." Emmett said, when we drove up to WSU. "yeah," I agreed. Emmett didn't let me be sad, he made us have car karaoke, the whole ride. He actually pulled off a pretty good "Like a rhinestone cowboy".
Jacob's arm hitting my face woke me up. Like it did every time we slept together. I looked at the clock, 6:03am it read. "Jake." I shook him, moving the arm from my face.
"Hmm?" He groaned out. I giggled quietly, he wasn't a morning person. "I have to leave, gotta get ready for brunch with Em and Ali."
"Okay, babe." He rolled over, snuggling back into the pillows. I picked up my clothes and dressed as quickly as my hungover mind would let me. "Love you," He mumbled, as I kiss him on the head before I left. "You too," I whispered. But for some reason it felt forced.
A/N: So, what do you think? I've been dealing with some MAJOR writers block lately and am at my wits end when it comes to my other story "The little Things." I love that story so much and want to continue it, but I think I need to let the creative juices flow with another project to help inspire me into writing it again :) Take care everyone, please let met know what you think. xx
