This is mostly a story for working on my writing, so if you have any tips, or constructive criticism, please tell me. Thanks.

In a land, far, far away lies the kingdom of Fiore; a small peaceful nation of seventeen million and a place filled with magic. Found in every home, bought and sold in every marketplace, for most magic is merely a tool, a mundane part of everyday life. For some, however, magic is an art, and they've devoted their lives to its practice, these are the wizards. Banded together in magical guilds, they ply their skills in search of fame and fortune. Many such guilds dot the landscape of Fiore. But there is a certain guild in a certain town that soars high above the rest, one from which countless legends have been born, a guild that would no doubt continue to create legends well into the future.

It's name is Fairy Tail.

I was back! I was so back! I was so happy that I was whistling to myself, grinning like an idiot. Almost there, almost home. It soon came into sight.

Fairy Tail.

Yes, Fairy Tail, my guild.

My guild took all sorts of job requests; I'd just been on one that took a whole year!

'But I've gotten stronger, maybe I could beat him this time, maybe' I thought to myself happily as I skipped through the streets, earning weird looks from everyone. I was sure my magic was stronger than his now. I could beat him.

I pushed through the doors of the guild hall and found myself in a large room that had definitely been touched up in the time I was gone. I saw everyone having a good time and drinking alcohol, like usual. Mirajane was serving the alcohol to guild members sitting at tables.

Mirajane was a slim young woman of below average height. She had long, white hair which curled slightly at the ends, with two bangs that framed her face and reached down to her chest; her hairstyle's most distinctive trait was a short, upward ponytail obtained by gathering and tying the hair that covered her forehead. Because it was always styled like that, her hair seemed to have adapted to it, with the hair on her forehead remaining pointed upwards even when it wasn't tied. She had large blue eyes and a curvy, voluptuous body, with large breasts.

She smiled in my direction and I returned it.

Then Cana spotted me, she waved with a grin and I did the same. Then she went back to drinking her barrel of alcohol, like usual.

Cana was a tall, slim, young woman with an ample bust and tan skin. She had long, mid-back length brown hair with two shoulder-length strands that framed her face, with the left one that started from a prominent, high fringe. She had big brown eyes to go along with her hair. Cana's shapely upper body was usually left largely exposed, like just then, with most of her attires being distinctively 'showy': her standard outfit consisted of a light blue bikini top which featured a camouflage pattern, a pair of capri pants, with two bands that hung from each leg and a light belt covered in heart motifs loosely tied around the waist. She completed her general outfit by wearing a pair of high-heeled sandals. She also had a pair of metal bracelets adorning her biceps, bearing an incision composed of many "A"s, and three simple, round metal bracelets on her right wrist.

She was my best friend, but you'd never catch me wearing that sort of thing. It did look nice but I wouldn't be able to deal with it.

Cana and Mirajane noticed me and waved, a few others saw me but didn't really do anything, but mostly everyone just kept doing what they were doing.

I looked around at the girls in the guild, all pretty with amazing curves as well. And then there was me. Good ol' short me with untameable spiky pink hair that reached my lower back and sharp, black eyes, but I liked my eyes. I had knee-length black shorts with loads of pockets (the pockets were quite handy on missions), a white vest shirt with a midriff length black jacket and my gray scarf, which was bundled around my neck, that was quite scaly looking.

Then I saw him, the other pink-haired member of the guild. Natsu Dragneel. I grinned my sharp-toothed grin and walked over to him. His back was too me as he was talking to a girl on the opposite side of the tablet to him. "Uh...Natsu..." The girl mumbled as I approached.

"What?" He replied, "GAH!" he exclaimed as I, without speaking, put my bag down by the table, grabbed the scruff of his jacket and dragged him off of his seat, through the guild hall and out to the street.

"You're back!" Natsu said, half grinning, half groaning.

"Yup," I nodded.

"Let's go then!" he smiled.

"Of course," I nodded excitedly.

He wasted no time; dashing at me he pulled back his fist as it was engulfed in fire. I managed to dodge to the side, but just barely.

"I'm not losing this time," I told him. A crowd had gathered, cheering both of us on. I swung my leg around with my foot fuelled with the fire he was just using against me. He did the same and blocked it completely. I swiped with my fist but it was a lame attempt, he simply ducked out of the way.

"Fire dragon ROAR!" He yelled, sucking in a massive breath and breathing fire. It was heading straight for me. I defended by using the exact same move.

A giant ball of fire erupted in the air as the two fiery storms collided.

With fists of fire we exchanged blows probably quicker than most could see, but the crowd cheered on nonetheless.

"Brilliant," someone in the crowd gasped, it was that blonde-haired girl Natsu was talking to earlier. She must be new, I hadn't seen her before.

"So she's back," Elfman, one of the people in our guild, noted.

"She might actually win this time," Gray said. He was another member of the guild.

I drew my fist back; ready to attack again, Natsu did the same.

"Fire dragon's iron fist!" We both called out.

Then the fight was over. As the smoke cleared I could see why, we had both performed the same move, only he had landed his, right in my stomach, but he had moved his head to the side and dodged my flaming fist.

I fell to the floor.

"Or not," Gray shrugged.

"Oh no!" the blonde girl exclaimed.

"Oh man, that hurt really, really bad!" I groaned, rolling around and clutching my stomach, "Why'd you have to hit me so hard?!"
"Well you wanted to fight!" Natsu yelled angrily.

"Yeah but I didn't want to die!" I retorted.

"Wait a minute," the blonde girl fretted, "Who are you?"

Lucy's POV

"Who are you?" I asked. That girl had just walked in, dumped her bags and dragged Natsu out! Not only that, but she had the same colour eyes, the same colour hair, and the same scarf as Natsu! Plus, she used the same magic? Who was she?

"Oh, Lucy," Natsu said like it was the most obvious thing in the world, "This is my twin sister, Naomi,"

"Sister?! Twin?!" I shrieked. The girl got off of the floor and bowed.

"Hi," she said. I saw her wince and shoot a scowl in Natsu's direction. They did look alike, apart from the height. Natsu was about average but she was quite small.

"Hi," I mumbled, not quite sure what to make of her. "Natsu?" I asked in a tone that was asking for more details, "Why didn't you mention a sister?"

"You never asked," he shrugged.

"Don't get all 'you never asked' cliché on me!" I yelled at him.

"Well, you're not even an official member yet, and Naomi's been gone for a year, so I didn't see any need to mention her," Natsu shrugged.

I took a closer look at his sister. She had the same spiky, pink hair and had a scarf identical to Natsu's; her eyes were sharper than his. She wasn't attractive, she was thin and lean with a slightly tan skin tone, and an almost flat chest. She had quite a few hoops and studs adorning her ears, she had small hoops at the bottom, then two studs in each ear, then another hoop at the side of each ear and another one right at the top of each ear. But she was pretty if you liked that whole 'tough girl' look.

Naomi's POV

She was looking me up and down; it was quite an uncomfortable feeling. "NAOMIIIIII!" I heard a familiar voice yell. I felt a familiar feeling on my head.

"Hi Happy," I giggled, stroking the cat that had perched himself on my head. He sprouted his white wings again and flew to Natsu, where he stood by his feet. Happy was a small, blue cat with a rectangular head, pink ears, big black eyes with small thin eyebrows and light blue cheek marks similar to a blush. His tail was tipped with white and he had a white underbelly too. He wore a green backpack that he stocked full of fish and some of his things.

Natsu wasn't the only one with a cat though. As if on cue, my cat, Willow, walked out of the guild hall.

She was quite plain in terms of looks. She had gray fur that was longer than Happy's, but with a white splodge on her nose. She had very lovely green eyes. She had a purple head kerchief with holes for her pink ears to poke out of. She walked over on her two back legs, like Happy walked, and stood behind my leg.

"You gonna say hi to Natsu?" I asked her.

"Y-yes...hi N-Natsu," She murmured shyly.

Natsu grinned in reply. "Still shy then?" He laughed. "Oh, right," he realized, he gestured to the blonde girl "Naomi, this is Alice."

"It's Lucy!" she snapped at Natsu.

I waved to the blonde girl again. Lucy had brown eyes and shoulder length blonde hair that was usually tied by a blue ribbon in a small ponytail to the right side of her head with the rest of the hair loose. She was really pretty and had a very curvy figure, like Mirajane and Cana.

She stuck her hand out for me to shake. I took it reluctantly and shook, then let go. I headed back into the guild hall.

Lucy's POV

"What the heck was that look for?" I asked Natsu.

"Hm?" Natsu frowned.

"That look she gave me when she shook my hand!" I said.

"Oh, that," Natsu sighed, "She doesn't really like much physical contact, I think Happy and Willow get the closest to physical contact with her, when she strokes them that is, and she got me in a headlock once..."

"Oh," I said. What kind of person can't stand even a handshake? I wonder what kind of person she was. She seemed nice, but what if she has the same temper as Natsu? I can't deal with that.

"What's she like?" I asked fearfully.

"She's really nice," Natsu said, "She's quite angry, don't know where she gets that from,"
"I wonder," I scoffed sarcastically.

"She...uh...I'm not sure really. OH, I know! She never does anything without thinking about it, which makes it really annoying in fights. And she does this weird thing where she sits down right in the middle of the battlefield, rests her chin on her fist and just thinks about things. Sometimes it works and she comes up with these awesome strategies, but most of the time she just sits there for ages and does nothing. Oh and she's always falling asleep! She's so lazy and annoying and she snores like a bear!" Natsu yelled, he was getting pretty steamed up. I was pretty sure he was just ranting about her now.

Naomi's POV

It was great being back in the guild hall. "How much money did you earn this time?" Happy asked, he had obviously followed me in.

"Enough for another nine month's rent," I grinned happily.

"You earned 900, 000 Jewels?!" Happy shrieked, he led down on the table in front of me, grinning, with money on the brain. He didn't react when Willow poked him.

I had barely been in the guild hall for ten minutes when a full on brawl was in place. Their stupid fights had woken me up. I ducked as cups and mugs and all sorts of things were thrown across the room. Willow sat on the seat beside me, cuddled up close, looking around fearfully at all the flying cutlery.

"Gray," I said groggily, he looked around, "Clothes." I told him, taking a sip from a glass of water
Once again, Gray was only in his boxers. "When did that happen?" he yelled. Gray's most prominent feature was his spiky black-coloured hair. He had dark blue eyes, and his body was toned and muscular, pretty handsome if you ask me.

"It's been like that since I came in!" I snapped. Gray Fullbuster was a good wizard, but he had a bad habit of taking off his clothes.

"Put some clothes on," Cana scolded.

"I don't have time for that!" He yelled, jumping into the nearest fist fight.

Cana Alberona, she was brilliant. She held the title of Fairy Tail's heaviest drinker.

"You see that Naomi," Cana sighed, "I don't date the men here because they have no class," she proceeded to chug a barrel of ale.

"Yeah, they have no class," I replied quietly.

"Come here and fight me Natsu!" Gray yelled.

"Not until you put some clothes on!" Natsu yelled, his hands already punching some poor member of Fairy Tail. Lucy looked around; it was definitely her first Fairy Tail brawl.

"It's only noon and you boys are already whining like spoiled babies." It was Elfman; Elfman was a large, muscular man that had tan coloured skin, whose height caused him to tower over most of his fellow guild members, including me. His long white hair was kept styled upwards in long, wavy spikes, his dark eyes possessed no visible eyebrows and his rectangular, elongated face had a stitched scar running down its right side, crossing his right eye. He was definitely a brute of a man; he thought that all you needed to solve any problem was two strong fists (not an opinion I shared).

"I'm a real man; you want me to prove it to ya?" He yelled at the fighting guild members.

"I can't believe he's encouraging them," Lucy sighed.

Both Gray and Natsu jumped forward and punched Elfman over quite a few onlookers. "They knocked him out that easily?" Lucy asked me.

"Geez, it's so noisy around here, huh?" Loki asked the women sitting with him. I really disliked him. Loki was a young man of average height, distinguished by his delicate facial features and his orange, spiky hair. He had hazel eyes under those azure-tinted sunglasses that had a stupidly thin frame. He had a few studs and hoops in his ears.

He was a complete playboy, so it made me happy when he was hit with a flying mug. "Are you alright?" One of the girls asked him.

"I'm gonna go fight," He said, and then "Only to protect you lovely girls."

"Well if he's fighting, so am I," I snapped. I slammed my empty glass down on the table and pushed my seat up.

"Naomi, no," Willow argued, grabbing my arm and trying to pull me back down.

"I'll be fine," I told her, "I'm just gonna kick the crap out of that pretty boy."

"What the heck is wrong with these people?" Lucy asked no one in particular. "There's not one sane person in the whole place."

I went to attack Loki, but somehow I ended up in a fight against someone with a table as a weapon.

"Don't you think we should try to stop them or something?" I heard Lucy ask Mirajane.

"It's always like this around here, I just leave them alone," Mirajane smiled sweetly. "Besides-" Elfman landed on top of her at that point. "It's kind of fun don't you think," she said before passing out.

"Don't die Mirajane!" Lucy screamed. She was hit by Gray. I noticed something about him, then covered my eyes as my face went hot.

"Give me back my underwear!" Gray snapped at Natsu. "Jerk!"

"Excuse me miss, could I please borrow your underwear?" Gray asked Lucy.

"As if!" She snapped, whacking Gray.

With a bright red face I grabbed his boxers off of Natsu and chucked them at him. "Put them on. NOW!" I snapped.

"You guys are all so insensitive, a woman has all sorts of-" Loki started.

"Real men speak with their fists!" Elfman yelled, punching Loki away.

"Thanks big guy," I grinned.

Elfman went to reply but he was kicked away by Natsu. "I told you to butt out!"

"Ugh," Cana sighed as I stumbled over to her, "It's so loud, so much for having a drink to relax." She took out a tarot card, "That's enough you guys, I suggest that you knock it off," the card started to glow with her magic energy.

"Oh yeah, says who?" Gray snapped, getting ready with his own magic. Thankfully he was wearing his underwear now.

Elfman conjured his own magic, which encased his arm in stone. I did not want to get hit by that.

"You punks can be such a nuisance," Loki sighed, his ring started to glow with magic.

'Well if everyone else is doing it I might as well' I thought to myself. I let my feet light on fire, that was one of my favourite moves. It was powerful and gave extra speed.

"Let's go boys," I smiled excitedly. Natsu fired up his signature move as well; his fists were basically flames at this point.

"I'm ready for ya," he grinned.

"Do they always fight like this?" Lucy asked Willow and Happy, exasperated.

"Uh-huh," Happy nodded.

"Y-you should h-hide," Willow stuttered. She ducked under the table.

I heard a massive bang to my right. There was a massive shadowy figure; it was almost as big as the guild hall itself. It loomed over the rest of us and gave off a shadowy black aura.

"Will you fools stop bickering like children!" It growled menacingly.

"He's huge!" Lucy cried.

Everyone in the hall stopped fighting and went completely quiet. There was complete silence.

"I'm sorry," Mirajane smiled, "I didn't know you were still here Master,"
"Did you just say master?!" Lucy gasped.

"HAHAHAHAHA!" Natsu laughed, hands on his hips, "Man, talk about a bunch of babies, looks like I won this round lo-"
Master stepped on him. "He's going to feel that in the morning," I remarked. The Master cast his monstrous gaze in my direction. "Nothing," I said quickly, putting my hands up in mock defence.

"Well, it seems we have a new recruit," Master growled.

"Yes sir!" Lucy said, frightened.

The Master went back to his original form.

Makarov, our Master, was an extremely short, elderly man. He had black eyes and was growing bald with only the outer rims of his head containing white hair. He also had a thick white moustache. He was about knee height, with curly-toed, brown shoes, orange trousers, a white shirt with the Fairy Tail insignia, an orange hoodie with blue cuffs, and an orange and blue striped designed jester hat.

"Nice to meet ya," he smiled.

"He's tiny!" Lucy said straight away. "This little guy's really in charge here."

"Of course he is," Mirajane smiled, "Allow me to introduce the Fairy Tail guild Master Makarov."

"Some of us just call him Gramps," I whispered to the side.

Makarov jumped up, ready to land on the second floor banister, but instead he hit it with the back of his head. He grabbed on just in time and hauled himself up. He coughed discreetly, as if preparing for a speech.

"You've gone and done it again, you bunch of clods," he chided, "Take a look at how much paperwork the Magic Council sent me this time," he held up a massive stack of paper. I cringed; I'd fall asleep before finishing the first page of that stack. "This is the biggest pile of complaints yet!"

I didn't like the magic council, they placed so many restrictions. They monitored all of the different wizard guilds.

"Have you lost your mind?!" Gramps yelled, "All you kids are good for is getting the higher ups mad at me!"

Everyone looked at the floor, embarrassed, so I wasn't the only one who destroyed a town or two on their mission. But hey, who hasn't? Gramps was shaking with anger.

"However," he said, burning the pile in his hand, his expression grew softer, "I say to heck with the magic council, he chucked the burning pile down to our floor. Natsu jumped up and grabbed the flaming paper with his mouth, gobbling up the fire.

That was a bonus of our magic. We were fuelled by our element, if we ate fire, our magic became more powerful. It was Dragon Slayer Magic.

"Now listen up," Gramps said, "Any power that surpasses reason still comes from reason, right? Magic isn't some kind of miraculous power; it is a talent that only works when the flow of energy inside of us and the flow of energy in the natural world are in perfect synchronization. To perform magic one must have a strong mind, and the ability to focus. It should take over your being and come pouring out of your soul. If all we do is worry about following rules then our magic would never progress! Don't let those blowhards on the council scare you! Follow the path you believe in! Cuz that's what makes the Fairy Tail guild number one!"
