Lex, you've made the same mistake as all the others. You've turned me into an angel. You tried to let me taste the fires of Hell, you really did. Yet still in your eyes I remained an angel. The golden halo you created for me eclipsed everything; everything about the darkness you knew was truly inside me.
We're not so different, you and I. You think if I belonged to you, it would bring about a new age: the union of black and white, night and day. You think if you brought light into your life it would stop the conflicts that swallowed you whole. But Lex, that's not who I am. I may quiet the present screams in your head, but before long I will bring you new ones. You will do the same for me. My screams lay dormant for now, but all too soon you will weave new ones for me. We won't be bothered, though. We're children of darkness. It's the only life we know.
Oh yes, we're children of darkness, Lex. The only light in our lives was swallowed by the crash of the meteors. The same meteors that killed my parents and killed your chances of being a normal child. If it hadn't happened, we wouldn't be who we are today. Destiny chose this path for us, and we must follow it.
Now, though, as my hands fly across your body, all I see are the marks of other women. They've marked you, as I will. As I am. But I blow gently on their marks, and like sparks they ignite for a moment before they fade away.
You're mine now, Lex Luthor. And I won't leave fleeting sparks on you-no, I'll leave bruises that burn like fire. I will start an inferno within you, Lex, and you won't be able to quench it.
Oh yes, you're mine now, Lex Luthor. Together, we'll mark each other and we'll mark history. Together, the world is ours.
