Chapter 1: Freddy's Past
Freddy activated as soon as the clock hit midnight. He looked to his right and sees Bonnie already heading down the left hallway. He looked to his right and see Chica go into the kitchen. He sighs as he walks off the stage and heads backstage, where the camera couldn't see him. He, for some bizarre reason, didn't want to mess with the security guard right now. He sat down in the darkness and looked at his microphone as if wanting to remember something. He was thinking of his past and of his favorite child.
~Flashback~
It was a hot summer day at the Pizzeria; the restaurant was going to close within an hour. Freddy was walking around looked at the few remaining children still having fun. He looked over to the right corner of the place and sees a little girl crying. She wore a light blue sundress with black shoes. Her hair was black and curled towards her face. Her hands covered her eyes as she cried. Freddy walked over instantly to the girl, wishing to comfort her.
"What wrong? Are you not having fun at the Pizzeria, or is someone being mean to you?" Freddy asked as he bent down to her level. The little girl looked up at him with her sapphire blue eyes; tears streaming down her face. Freddy wiped some of them away with his hand and smiled at her.
"No…my mommy and daddy left me here by accident. I wanna go home," The girl said as she began crying again. The bear felt sorrow for this poor child as he heard this and picked her up. He hugged her and talked in a reassuring voice.
"It's okay, don't cry," Freddy said as he tried to comfort her. "We'll get you home. It'll be okay." The girl hugged him, still crying. Freddy looked around and sees Mr. Frazbear. He goes over to him and taps him on the shoulder. He looked at him with a smile, but it changed when he saw the child.
"What's going on? Is she okay?" He asked as his concern for the child showed clearly.
"Her parents accidently left her behind," Freddy answered. "Is there something you can do?" Mr. Frazbear's eyes widened and quickly grabbed his cellphone. He picked up the phone book next to him and began looking through the pages.
"What's your name, dear?" He asked as he looked at the child. She turned around to face him.
"My…my name is Rose Rampton," She said through her sobs. Mr. Frazbear nodded and began instantly looking for the name.
"It'll take me a while to find the number, so go calm her down." Mr. Frazbear said as he began scanning the pages. Freddy nodded and took the girl back over to the stage. He sat her down on the stage and she looked up at him with tears still going down her cheeks. Freddy smiled kindly and wiped them away with his furred hand.
"Well Rose, let's turn that frown upside down," Freddy said as he joked. Rose smiled slightly at the joke. Freddy thought for a moment and had an idea. He went and got Bonnie and he began making Rose laugh. He got Chica to make her a cupcake and Foxy to do tricks for her. Rose was now smiling and giggling.
"You guys are funny," Rose said as she looked up at the group. Foxy smiled with a triumphant smile at her laughter. Freddy sat down on the stage next to the girl, who in-turn crawled into his lap. "I hope my mommy and my daddy bring me here again soon. I love it here." Freddy smiled at her kindly. Freddy saw a Freddy Fazbear plushy over on a shelf. He looked at Bonnie and pointed slightly to it. Bonnie sees it and grabs it off the shelf and hands it to Freddy. He takes it and holds it in front of Rose.
"Here," Freddy said as he placed it in her hands. "You can always have a friend to make you laugh while you're at home. We will be happy to see you again soon." Rose hugged the plushy tightly.
"Oh, thank-you, Freddy," Rose said as she turned around and hugged Freddy. Freddy gently hugs her; a smile on his face. Mr. Frazbear came into the room with a woman in a black business suit and a man with a T-shirt and shorts.
"Rose, here are your parents," Mr. Frazbear said. Rose got off Freddy and ran over to them.
"Look what they gave me, mommy! I got a new stuff animal to keep me safe at night," The girl said. The woman nodded to her and looked back at her phone. The man picked her up and looked to Mr. Frazbear.
"Thank you for taking care of her, we didn't mean to leave her behind. We thought she was right behind her brother, who was supposed to keep an eye on her." He said as he looked over his shoulder to a boy in dark clothing listening to his I-pod. He had one earphone out and he rolled his eyes at his father's comment.
"It was no problem at all. The animatronics seemed to enjoy her company," Mr. Frazbear said with a kind smile. Freddy nodded to the parents.
"She was a very good child. She was just sad about the event, but we found a way to cheer her up," Freddy said as he looked at Rose. Rose smiled at him and waved to the brown bear. Freddy waved to her and they left without another word.
~End of Flashback~
Freddy smiled at his memory of the girl and looked back down at his microphone. He knew that was about 15 years ago and he had no idea where the girl went. He missed her; he missed Rose.
"Oh, how the years have passed," Freddy said in a sad tone. Bonnie poked his head in and sees Freddy sitting down.
"Hey, Freddy, the guard is about to run out of power," Bonnie said with a triumphant smile. "You want to come help us deplete it?" Freddy looked up at the purple bunny. He had his usual red bow tie on, but it was worn and dirty.
"No, I…I don't want to," Freddy said as he looked back to his microphone. Bonnie's eyes widened at his response.
"Freddy, is something wrong? You always want to get the guard," Bonnie said as he looked out to the main room and looked back at him. Freddy sighed and just kept staring down at his microphone.
"I…I just don't feel like killing him right now. I don't feel right," Freddy said as he looked back towards the darkness in front of him. Bonnie stared at him in disbelief. He turned toward the main room slightly.
"Chica, there is something up with, Freddy," Bonnie called. Chica came into the room and looked at Freddy.
"What's wrong, Freddy?" Chica asked. Freddy sighed and looked up at the ceiling.
"Do you guys remember that birthday party we all threw that little girl, whose parents just dropped her off with her brother on her birthday?" Freddy asked as he looked up into the darkness.
"Yeah, Rose was it?" Bonnie answered with a confused look. Chica crossed her arms.
"What about it?" She asked curiously.
"I remember it clearly," Freddy said as a smile grew onto his face.
~Flashback~
It was the middle of May and Rose had been dropped off at Freddy's Pizzeria with her no good brother, who was reluctant to even talk to the girl. He sat in the corner of the restaurant, listening to the music he had. Rose looked around the place at all the children, when she sees Freddy walking around. Her eyes lit up and she began running over to him.
"Freddy!" The girl yelled as she ran over to him. Freddy looked and sees her. His eyes lit up with happiness.
"Rose, you came back!" Freddy said as he picked her up and spun somewhat. She laughed as she hugged the bear.
"My parents dropped me off with my brother, who is over there," Rose said as she pointed. "It's my birthday." Freddy looked at her with a surprised look.
"Wait, what is this? It's your birthday and you aren't having a party?" Freddy asked as he looked at her. The girl looked down sadly.
"My parents are too busy to throw me a birthday party," Rose answered. Freddy looked at her more surprised than earlier.
"Too busy my butt! I am not letting you have a birthday with no party," Freddy said. "Come on, let's go get the others. We are throwing you a royal party and you'll be princess of the Pizzeria for a day." Rose smiled at him and he took her over to Bonnie and Chica, who had gotten free of the children thanks to Foxy's tricks.
"Hey, Rose is back," Bonnie said as he walked up. Chica smiled happily at the child.
"Hey sweetie, welcome back," Chica said sweetly.
"It's her birthday and her parents are too busy to throw her a birthday party, so I thought since no parties are planned for today we could throw her a royal party and she can choose our roles for her party. You know like her knight, her maiden, her jester, and etc.," Freddy said as he looked at his friends. They all nodded almost instantly.
"To the costumes and props!" Bonnie said as he ran over to a door and went in. Rose giggled at the hyper bunny. Chica bowed to Rose.
"You will be princess of the Pizzeria for a day," Chica said happily as she got into character. Rose giggled more and smiled at her. Bonnie came out with a small blue princess gown and a silver tiara with a blue diamond in the middle. He also had a foam sword, a maiden's bonnet, a jester's hat, and a darker foam sword for the villain.
"Look what I found! I think we are going to have some fun today," Bonnie said as they all walked over to a door, Freddy still holding Rose. Bonnie opened the door. It was a lounge area. The animatronics had a lounge to relax in-between shows and parties. Bonnie placed the items on the table and handed Freddy the dress. "You take her to the closet we have over there so she can slip it on." Freddy nodded and took her over to a random door. He put her down and opened it.
"Here you are," Freddy said as he handed her the dress. "Put this on and you can assign us roles for your birthday." Rose nodded happily and went in. Freddy closed the door enough to where she could still get out. After a second, he heard a knock and he moved out of the way of the door, opening it for her. She walked out in the glittery ocean blue gown. It complemented her eyes very well. Freddy smiled approvingly and took her small hand. He led her over to the others and they all thought it was cute.
"How do I look?" Rose asked as she looked up at the others.
"Like a true princess, but there is just one thing missing," Freddy said as he took the tiara off the table. He knelt down to her level and gently placed it on her head. "Now, you're a princess." Rose smiled at him and twirled a bit.
"I'm princess of the Pizzeria!" She said happily. Freddy chuckled at her enthusiasm and stood up. Foxy poked his head into the lounge, looking slightly tired.
"Are ye all done in 'ere yet?" Foxy asked as he looked in. He saw Rose in her princess outfit and his eyes softened. "Aw, aren't ye t' cutest thing me eye has ever seen." Rose giggled and twirled again.
"We are throwing a birthday party for her," Chica said excitedly.
"Would you like to announce her?" Freddy asked with a smirk. Foxy bowed in the doorway.
"I would be honored t'," Foxy said happily. Foxy walked out and smiled happily. "Here ye, Here ye! There be a princess approach in and she shall chose the roles of the others for it be her birthday. Introducing, Princess Rose!" Foxy gestured to the doorway. Rose walked out in her blue gown with the other animatronics behind her; Bonnie carrying the props. Freddy led her onto the stage and everyone clapped. Her brother looked up and took a picture with his phone and sent into the parents in a text saying "Hey, look Rose is the princess of the Pizzeria now."
"We are throwing a birthday party for this lovely girl because her parents couldn't," Freddy said as held her tiny hand. Foxy nodded at them and looked to Rose.
"Who shall be ye maiden, princess?" Foxy asked as if he didn't know the answer already.
"Chica, of course, she's the only girl," Rose said with a cute giggle. Bonnie put the bonnet on Chica and she bowed as if she was wearing dress.
"It would be my honor, your highness," Chica said, trying not to laugh.
"Who shall be ye jester, me lady?" Foxy asked as he looked around the room. Rose picked up the hat which fell out of Bonnie's hands. She pulled on Bonnie's leg slightly and he bent down to her.
"You will be the jester, because you are funny," Rose said as she put the hat on his head.
"If that is what you want me to be, my princess," Bonnie said as he stood up with the colorful hat on his head. Foxy chuckled at the sight of him wearing the confounded thing.
"Who shall be t' villain that ye knight will defend ye from at all cost?" Foxy asked as he looked between himself and Freddy. Rose looked at Bonnie and reached up for the dark looking foam sword. Bonnie handed it to her and she walked over to the edge of the stage and handed it towards Foxy.
"You will, it will be fun," Rose answered. Foxy chuckled and happily took the prop. "That leaves my knight, which I choose to be Freddy." She took the normal foam sword from Bonnie and walked over to Freddy. Freddy took the prop happily.
"I would be honored to be your knight," Freddy said happily. "She is princess of the Pizzeria for a day, so no picking on her." The rest of that day was full fun and joy for the girl. Freddy and Foxy sword fought every now and then, Bonnie told jokes, and Chica kept Rose smiling by just being there. Freddy stayed by her side most of the day. It was paradise.
~End of Flashback~
"Oh, how I miss those days," Freddy said with a small smile. "It was always brighter and happier when she would walk in. I miss her so." Bonnie looked at Chica and Chica returned the look.
"Well, we can't linger in those days now. We can't go back in time," Bonnie said in sad voice. Freddy sighed and looked back down.
"I know, but it's nice to remember a time when you actually felt like you were truly cared about by someone, you know," Freddy said as he leaned his head back on the wall. "I miss her and everything that she brought with her, including that hope of seeing her every day." Chica looked touched by his little speech and smiled at him.
"Maybe, one day we'll meet her again," Chica said reassuringly. Freddy looked at her with a smile. Freddy got up and looked out to the main room.
"I guess I'm ready to go out there, but I wanna check something out in the kitchen first," Freddy said as his happy expression turned serious. "I thought I heard something that wasn't Chica." They both nodded at him. Freddy left the backstage and walked towards the kitchen without another word.
