Hi again, thanks for the reviews of my last few pieces everyone. It's been an effort to jump back into Junket Quest, but it is in the works. Once again, I got distracted. Here's my very first songfic, inspired by Madonna's Like a Prayer, a song that I've loved since I was all of 11(I was that old when it came out! *laughs*) years old.

You arrive back at our small cabin away from town; you have the unique smell of cigarettes about you. Barging in as you always do, even if it is our house…you make loud noises. I hear "Hakkai, you up for another game? How bout a drink?" Your voice assures me; more than anything else, that I'm where I belong, this is my home now. Your cracked baritone ringing with amusement as you tell me stories of the people you fleeced to make our rent, and make sure we have food to eat, while we play. It is home.

We move closer in the course of the game, your grin grows ever more rakish while we review the day's events. You pout again, since I won, cigarette hanging carelessly from your mouth. Then with careless grace put out your cigarette and you lean closer to me, your voice growing softer nearly a growl…not quite a purr. I close my eyes, as your lips touch mine in a hungry kiss and I feel the lean warmth of your body against mine. I fall into that kiss; it's all I want in the world now. I've fallen; I know that…but with you, feel I'm closer to the sky. Heaven help me, I want you.

I don't know how we got to the bedroom. You're the confident one, never hesitating to take me to places I never dreamed of. I don't know why I love you this way; I'm not sure why it came to be between us. Your passion shows through in so many ways, not just these nights where we forget to think and just are.
