"Hey Jo, when ya gonna be done?" A girl with curly brown hair said. She was standing next to her best friend in Hot Topic, their usual store.
"Shush." The girl responded as she dug through a bin of on-sale jewelry. "I'm looking for something that matches this nail polish."
"Well hurry up! I bought my shit and I'm hungry." The first girl said, pouting and crossing her arms over her stomach, bag hanging on her arm.
"Hungry, huh? Well, gimmie a sec... HA! Found it! Lemme go buy it and we can go."
The brunette watched as her friend walked to the counter. Rolling her eyes, she walks to the door, waiting for her friend while doing her favorite pass time, people watching.
The blond laughed at her impatient friend and finished paying for her stuff. She walked past where the brunette was standing. "Let's go eat, girl!" She called, as she put on the bright blue ring she had just purchased.
Staring at her friend in mild shock, she sighs then runs after her friend shouting, "Hey! Wait up! I'm the one with the car keys!"
"Car keys shmar keys, I can pick locks like nobody's business." Jo laughed, her heels clicking against the tiled floor. Kitty ran up behind her, leaning against her shoulder. "Tell me this isn't the cutest ring ever!" She asked. And suddenly they looked up and...
"Jo, did we go out the wrong exit?" Kitty asked, looking to where there SHOULD be a parking lot, instead seeing rundown buildings and people all in dirty clothes begging for food.
"...Well. I suppose we must've. Except for not really, because, uh... This doesn't even look like the United States."
"Why don't we just head back inside and use another exit?" Kitty said, turning around only to fall flat on her butt. She had run into a wall.
"That's why." Jo laughed at Kitty who was now sitting on her butt in the dirt.
Glaring up at Jo, Kitty brushed her bangs away from her eyes. "Well, I'm SO sorry. I didn't know that the door was gonna magically dissapear on us like that. Doors usually stay put." She got up, dusting her jeans off before taking a close look at her friends new ring.
"You sure this thing aint magical?"
Jo started cracking up at 'doors usually stay put.' "Dude, since when does Hot Topic sell magic?"
"I don't know! But if they just started, this is NOT gonna get them a good review." Kitty said, looking around before spotting something pink out of the corner of her eye. "Uh, Jo?"
"Shit, what's that?"
Kitty turned to her best friend, a look of pure shock reflecting in both eyes. "I think that's Sakura from Naruto."
