Love conquers all
I do not own Newsies in any way. Please ignore the fact that the newsies don't have accents. Inspired by Savages from Pocahontas.
"We've got to do something!" Kix yelled.
"We go to war!" Spot yelled.
"Don't you see? That's exactly what they want us to do!" she yelled back.
"Stay out of this Kix!" Spot growled.
"They've got him Spot! They'll kill him. I love Ace. I can't let it happen!" Kix said.
"You will do as you're told Kix. You will stay here", Spot said raising his cane to her face.
"Yes Spot", she said. She left the room and took off for the Bronx. She stopped and slept in Manhattan that night. She knew the boys would head out early.
*In the Bronx*
"Bring him out!" Spider ordered.
Ace was thrown at his feet.
"I will ask you one last time, will you serve me?" Spider asked.
"I serve no one but Spot", Ace said defiantly.
"Shame your pretty girlfriend will watch you die", Spider said.
Ace stopped breathing and his eyes went wide.
Kix couldn't watch him die.
"Fox, gather the boys", Spider said.
Pistol and Blade grabbed Ace and lifted him to his feet.
They dragged him out onto the docks.
By the time Kix arrived in the Bronx, Brooklyn was already there.
It was an all out brawl.
Spot was wrestling Fox trying to get a knife out of his hand.
"Oh look. How nice of you to join us Kix", Spider said.
"Kix!" Ace yelled.
She saw Spider lift a gun and point it at Ace's head.
Ace's eyes went wide. He didn't want to die.
Spider cocked the gun.
It happened so fast.
Kix ran to Ace and someone was shot.
She looked down at Ace.
It wasn't him.
She looked over and saw it Bolt, Brooklyn's second, his arm bleeding. She ran over to him. "Bolt!" she said.
He was shaking.
She ripped his shirt and tied around the wound.
"Spot tried to take the bullet, but I shoved him out of the way", Bolt said, "Remember rule number one?"
"Protect Spot", Kix said smiling.
Switch and Runner helped Bolt up and helped carry him back to Brooklyn.
When the Brooklyn boys were safe inside the lodging house, Kix jumped on Ace kissing him passionately.
It was true…love conquers all.
