Greetings! This here is my official first ficlet/writing for BL. And it happens, of course, to be for Fullmetal Alchemist. Which is odd, for I don't think this was my first pairing. Anywho, please don't use this to judge my writing style. This is a lot choppier than my current style. Typing this was a bit painful, but I refused to make any changes that weren't necessary.
Suppose I should make a disclaimer, huh? I own nothing pertaining to Fullmetal Alchemist, and never will.
For Luck
"Your new mission, Ed, is to go to Leor and see what Scar is up to. He's been far too quiet lately, and we are getting suspicious." Roy Mustang looked directly at Edward. "And let's not get your automail blown up this time. I'd rather not have to help pay so much for such a small thing-"
"Who are you calling a bean?" Edward shouted, jumping up and down.
"That's not what he said, Ed," Lt. Hawkeye corrected.
"Anyways, fetch the disguise for Elric Lt." Riza saluted and left, and Mustang turned back to Ed, who was giving him an odd look. "They know what you look like now. You can't just go waltzing through Leor."
"Yeah yeah, whatever." Ed glanced to the window, noticing that Al had vanished. 'Probably to get another cat...' Ed thought to himself. He went along with Mustang. "So just another mission to be a dog of the military, huh? And here I thought you had another "lead"..." he sighed, putting his hands in his pockets and sighing.
Roy stood and walked around to the front of his desk to face Ed. "Actually, there are quite a few rumors flying around about the Philosophers' Stone in Leor. I thought that could help you-"
"Yeah right! All your leads are bogus!" Ed was beginning to shout. He glared up at Roy. "All they scrape up to be are little add-ons to make me go along with the mission. All you care about is looking good so you can a promotion!"
Roy's face softened. "You don't get it, do you?" Suddenly Ed found a warm pair of lips on his own. His eyes widened and Roy quickly pulled away. "It's all for you. I really want you to find that stone," he whispered. "But if I don't give you missions, I may lose you as a subordinate. Then I wouldn't have an excuse to see you. That may be selfish, but I don't care."
Ed was still a deep shade of pink. "Then what was..."
"For luck. Who knows what will come of this mission. Besides, I haven't managed to get a moment alone with you for a long while." He coughed. "Speaking of which, I'm going to see what's taking Hawkeye so long." He left the office, leaving a flushed Edward to flop down in a chair and try to get his mind around what just happened.
