The marketplace was bustling with villagers as the sun shone at them. A man in green clothing with a sword strapped to his back along with other weapons. He trekked through the stands towards the shooting range. His name was Link.
He opened the door to the shooting range, triggering a bell that rang loudly through the small building. He saw a young lady with her head down. He took a couple steps in until she immediately perked up. "Hello! Welcome to the shooting range! For 30 rupees, you can win 50! Try your luck." She extended her hand towards Link. "Yes or no?"
Link grunted. The lady rose an eyebrow. "Uh, Mister? Yes or no?"
"YAAH!" Link made a noise as if he were attacking. He took out some rupees and handed them to the woman. She took them with a nervous laugh.
Link readied his bow, aimed, and fired at a green rupee. He missed. "GUH!" He made a sound as if he were hurt. The woman looked at him curiously. Is he... Okay? She asked herself.
Finally, Link got ONE rupee. Unfortunately, that was the last one and ironically the hardest one. "I guess your archery skills aren't polished yet, are they?" The woman teased. Link left the shooting range, his cheeks red from embarrassment.
"What an odd man..."
Link decided it was time to go fight in another temple. Before that though, he had to stock up on potions. He arrived at the potion market.
A, er, big man greeted him with an equally large smile. "Why hello there, young man! Here to buy some potions?" He asked.
"YAAH!" He said. For a second, the man put on a threatened face.
"Well?" The man asked.
"NGK!" Link grunted as if he were shocked. This was the same thing that happened with the woman! He then had an idea. "HIYA!" He forcefully pointed at a health potion. The man looked shocked.
"Um, sir? Are you trying to rob my shop?" He put his hands on his hips and furrowed his brows. Link desperately tried to reassure the once happy man. He waved his hands as a "Wait! No, no, no!" gesture.
"This man is trying to rob my shop!" The man yelled. Before you could say "rupee", the guards were at the entrance. And before they could say "Hold it!", Link beat it out of there.
Link wouldn't stop running. It was like his feet lead him somewhere. And when he ran out of energy, it was his worst fear. The Water Temple.
"Ngk..." Link groaned as he entered the infamous temples to all players.
Did you like it? I hope you did! I always write one shots when I'm bored. I also just listened to a dramatic reading to the infamous Legend of Zelda fanfic "My Inner Life". I MUST finish. Wish me luck, and have a Merry Christmas! Even though it's like, 6:10... Sorry!
