Summary: A mysterious young woman needs Indy's help to find the legendary Dagger of Cleopatra, a dagger said to hold power over the Nile. Their journey takes them across oceans, deserts and mountains, testing everything they believe in and revealing an incredible secret which could change Indy's very outlook on life. Together they must face the dangers, racing against time to stop an old adversary who seeks to use the Dagger's power for evil.
The young woman walked through the vast corridors of the University campus with focus and determination. She was dressed in a pair of battered work slacks, with a faded men's blue dress shirt which was hanging undone over a white tank top. She had a brown leather satchel slung across her chest and a worn black fedora in her hands. Strands of her light brown hair fell across her piercing blue eyes, while the rest was tied back into a loose knot at the nape of her neck. Passing professors were giving her disapproving looks because of her appearance, but she didn't even notice them.
She reached her destination and slowed her steps. The classroom door was shut and she could see him finishing up his lecture. After a few moments of silently observing the professor, the door opened and the classroom emptied. When she was sure he was alone, she quietly made her way inside.
"Excuse me, are you Dr. Jones?" she asked when she reached the podium, nervously fiddling with her hat.
He looked at her critically over the rims of his reading glasses and she unconsciously shifted into a defensive stance. His lips twitched as he noticed her reaction and he faced her fully. "Who wants to know?"
"My name's Sara Bradley. I was told that you are the best when it comes to recovering hard to find artifacts."
"I think you have me confused with someone else," he said casually, packing his notes into his briefcase.
Realizing that she was being dismissed, Sara changed her tactic. "I must have mistaken you for Dr. Indiana Jones." She turned to the door, knowing fully that she had laid the bait for him. "Sorry to have wasted your time."
His head shot up at the use of his name. All of his University paperwork listed him as Dr. Henry Jones Jr. Indiana Jones existed only in the realm of his excursions abroad and to his close friends.
Sara was almost to the door when he called out to her. "Wait Miss Bradley!" She hid her smile and turned to him with an innocent expression on her face. "How do you know that name?" he asked as he walked up beside her, motioning for her to follow as he made his way to his office.
"That's not important. I just need to find him. I need his help."
Indy cast a speculative glance at her before waving her into the boiler room that served as his office. "What's so important that you tracked me down?"
She gave a triumphant smirk as she dug into her satchel and pulled out a bronze disc. "I found this on a dig near Cairo."
Indy took the piece from her and examined it closely. It bore the crest of the late Roman Empire on one side and a Latin inscription on the back. He looked closer and translating into English, read aloud, "To protect and serve the goddess of the Nile."
He handed the medallion back to the young woman and gave her a curious look. "What is it you think this is going to lead you to?"
She gave a disarming half-smile, "Cleopatra's Dagger."
