I Can Only Imagine

Elsa gazed out the window of her office, which overlook the courtyard. She could see Anna and Kristoff sitting on a bench together. They were talking, enjoying each other's company, and even engaging in a little romance. Elsa smiled when she saw the two of them kissing. It warmed her heart to know that there was a man out there who loved her little sister so dearly. As she continued to watch them, Elsa began to think about her own love life. She was often asked by her advisors if she would ever marry. Elsa told them that she was unsure as she was still getting used to her new life outside a closed door. Nonetheless, many suitors came and went, trying to court her. As annoying as some of them could be, Elsa was always polite in declining their offer. Still, the thought lingered in the back of her mind. Would she ever find somebody to love like that?

Seeing Anna and Kristoff together often triggered the concept. She thought about marriage, having children, etc, but a part of it didn't seem real to her. Maybe it was because she had been alone for so long that the possibility seemed very far away. Elsa watched as Anna and Kristoff parted from each other's lips, and smiled. They were happily in love, something that anybody would want. Elsa sat down at her desk, imagining what it would be like to find a man to love. She could picture him in her mind; tall, muscular, and very sweet. She could see him wrap his arms around her, pulling her into a loving embrace. He would gaze into her eyes with all the passion he could muster, and gently kiss her on the lips. Elsa could see her holding on tight to him, deepening the kiss. Before long, they would walk to the bedroom, where they would undress, and begin to make love.

Whoa. Elsa snapped out of her reverie. What was she thinking? This wasn't a lady or a queen thing to do at all. She had to get these crazy notions out of her head. Opening up a book, she began to read, hoping it would take her mind off of the thought of love. While reading, another thought crept into her mind: the thought of having children. Elsa never thought of herself as a mother, but she couldn't deny that she would need an heir to the throne of Arendelle once she passes. Of course, she always assumed that Anna and Kristoff would have a child to inherit the throne, but what if people didn't approve of that? What if they wanted her own biological child? Elsa knew that she was a very caring person, but could she really raise a child? She imagined a little boy or girl of her own. He or she would be cute, no doubt about it. But with her powers was it worth it? What if this child inherited her own powers, and possibly hurt someone? Elsa would be crushed. No. If she were to have a child, she would not make the same mistake her parents did. If her child possessed magical powers, she would guide him or her, teaching them how to control them, and ultimately use them for good. She would love them with every beat of her heart. They were her own flesh and blood, and for that, she would do anything for them.

Placing her book down, Elsa walked over towards the window again, and watched as Anna and Kristoff tossing a ball back and forth to each other. In the background, Sven and Olaf watched too, enjoying the show. Elsa smiled. This was her family. She loved them more than anything in the world. Who knows what lay in her future? If she found the right man to love, she might marry. But for now, she could only imagine.

A/N; This is a little short idea that popped into my head. I don't know if Elsa would find someone or not in Frozen 2. Some people prefer her to be single. To each their own I suppose. Anyway, hope you enjoyed this.
