"What is this thing?"
Tidus held up the colourful device in his hand for his friends to observe it. He could see while Wakka was looking at it just as puzzled as he was, Selphie's face was shining in delight at the sight of it.
"Sora, Riku and Kairi each got one of these recently..." Tidus murmured. "They've been hooked onto it for weeks!"
"No wonder!" Selphie squealed elatedly. "That's a Gummi Phone!"
"A what?" Wakka asked.
"A Gummi Phone! It's the coolest gadget ever in the history of cool gadgets! You can use it to talk to your friends on-screen, play games, even take pictures! How awesome is that, guys?!"
"Doesn't sound like it can do anything awesome..." Tidus muttered, unimpressed.
"Not do anything awesome?!" Selphie's jaw dropped. "Gimme it and I'll show you!"
Hastily, she swiped the handheld device from Tidus' hand. She tapped at the screen for a few moments before holding it facing away from her. The boys saw she had set it to camera mode when they saw her face appear on screen, beaming in all her cheerful and hyperactive nature.
"What are you doing, Selphie?" Wakka questioned.
"What does it look like?" The girl grinned brightly. "I'm taking a selfie!"
As Selphie tapped the Gummi Phone's screen to snap a shot of herself, Wakka groaned loudly while Tidus facepalmed with a shake of his head.
