Thoughts on a Teleri Elf who killed Noldor at the First Kinslaying. Drabble.

He was a murderer.

He had slain other Elves, kin of his, all for his family's white ships.

No one laid blame on him. They said that it was the fault of the Noldor, that the Noldor should not have stolen the ships and slain so many of them.

There were other Teleri, others who had also slain Noldor. They did not act differently. They were themselves, acting as if they had not spilled the blood of their fellow Elves. They were not shunned, shunned like those blameless Noldor who had returned, who had had no part in the Kinslaying.

There were friends and kin of his who had been killed. But he did not feel any less guilty.

They said he had acted in defense of his kin, of his ships.

But that did not erase the stains upon his hands.

It's from the perspective of a random Elf of Alqualonde, nobody in particular. After the Kinslaying and Finarfin's return, of course.
