Priestess_Kaiba: Written for a comment fic going on at a LJ community, by a prompt left by martyred wings. The prompt was: Dean gets hurt in a hunt and needs a massage. Castiel is there, on hand, to give him one, with hands and wings proving quite useful in the massage itself!

Feathery First

Dean let out a loud and long groan, as he exited the impala. He had just finished with a hunt and before he could kill the 2 demons he had been tracking one had gotten the jump on him and flung him back first into a wall. It had happened a few hours ago but his back still throbbed and hurt like a bitch. He could feel his left shoulder and upper back sore, tightening up on him. He entered his room at the motel thinking just of a hot shower, some painkillers and going to bed.

He took a quick shower and while the hot water had helped his sore muscles a bit, he was still in pain. Dressed only in gray sweats he headed over to the small kitchenette to pour himself a glass of water at the sink.

"Hello Dean." He heard the familiar gruff voice say behind him. What he didn't expect was that Castiel would touch his injury. The pain that the unexpected touch coursed through him made the glass fall from his hand and shatter in the sink.

"Ow! Dammit!" He swore, clutching at his shoulder and turning around to face Castiel. He wasn't surprised to see the angel inches from his face. "Can't you knock?" He asked annoyed, feeling a bit awkward at how close Castiel stood to him when he was half dressed.

Castiel ignored his retort and glanced at his injured arm. "You're hurt." He said concerned.

"Thanks for stating the obvious!" Dean replied sarcastically.

"What happened?" Castiel asked him.

"A wall rammed into me." He told him. Castiel's head tilted a bit and his eyes narrowed at Dean's explanation. It didn't make sense to him. Before he could comment Dean continued speaking. "I'm okay, just a bit sore." He said through gritted teeth.

"Let me help you." Castiel offered.

"I thought you couldn't heal anymore?" Dean asked him, eyeing him suspiciously.

"Serious wounds, would be difficult to heal but I think I can manage this." He explained. "Come sit on the bed and I'll take care of you."

"Okay fine." Dean said as he sat down on the bed, his back to Castiel.

Castiel started on Dean's upper back, his long fingers working expertly on the mass of nerves that was Dean's sore back. Castiel's fingers felt so good, they were so warm on his skin, that Dean closed his eyes against the sensation. Castiel continued to massage Dean and when he reached his left shoulder his hand fully covered the mark that Castiel had left on Dean, upon pulling him from perdition.

They both gasped when their flesh connected there. Warmth seemed to fill Dean, down to his very soul and then Dean felt something tickling his face. He opened his eyes to see white feathers all around him. Apparently Castiel had been affected as well. He glanced up through the feathers to see wide blue eyes and a slightly flushed angel staring back at him.

"That's never happened before." Cas said embarrassed.
