Maka awoke to the laughing sun and clear blue sky, she smiled and walked to Soul's room. Inside he was drooling on his pillow. Suddenly Maka heard a light voice singing and music start in the background "This is the man that I plan to partner, isn't he fine…"

With a start she realised the voice was in fact coming from her. She tried to supress it, Maka Alburn singing?, but the voice continued flowing out of her "My claim to fame to replace my father, glory is mine! I'll kick Dad out the biz! The name he claims I'll trade for his! The only trouble is… I'll never tell…"

Then it was Soul's turn, he instantly woke singing "She is the one, she makes fighting such fun, such courage and grace! Warm in the night, when we fight putting souls in their place, in their place! I won't say no! Our partnership can only grow… The only trouble-no! I'll never tell…"

They avoided each others eyes, half because of embarrassment of the situation. Together they sung "Cause there's nothing to tell…"

Walking to the kitchen, Soul quickly put in "She snores"

"He drools" she cut back

" She doesn't know what cool is…"

Maka puts her hands on her hips "He plays with sleazy cats that I can't describe"

Soul threw his hands into the air "I talk! She breezes!"

"He doesn't know what please is!"

"She makes accusations from a woman vibe!" Soul looked to Maka "So thank god I'll never tell!"

But it wasn't over yet. Angry Maka replied " When things get unfair, he just hides behind Blair! Now look, he's trying not to care cause he knows that I know…"

Soul wasn't going to put up with that "She clings, she's in a rut, she's got a pole stuck up her-"

"He made that up!" she quickly cut in

"This was my verse, hello! She-" he stopped to stare at Maka who was suddenly wildly tap dancing

Maka flushed in embarrassment "Don't look at me! I'm dancing crazy!"

Soul smiled, then was swept away in the dance as well. They slowed back to embrace each other singing "You know...."

" You're quite the meister..." Soul smiled

"Couldn't do it without ya"

The rhythm of the music started to change, and Soul's singing speed up "Your the coolest of the school, though your dad a tool (literally). And the way you put souls in their place!"

The music slowed again, and Soul and Maka slowly crawled toward each other. They were both very aware of how close they were to each other "I lied! I said its easy! I tried! But there's these fears I cannot quell…"

Maka looked troubled "Is he only looking for another soul?"

Soul thought for a second "Will I be cool when I've gotten old?…"

"Will my life become too stressful if I'm not my mum's successful?"

"Will I be dead like Sid if I'm not as good as Kid?"

"Am I crazy?"

"Am I insane?"

"Is my partner a huge pain?" Maka looked to Soul who shrugged, they linked arms and sing together.

"We could really raise the bar and make our lives hell! But thank God I'll never tell!"

Maka- smiled as she walked away with Soul "I take the fifth"

Soul gave a cheesy grin back to Maka "My lips are sealed"

"Nothing to see, move it along, I'll-"

They both finished off "Tell!"

Stein smiled. Maka wanted a strong soul-bond, and the best way for that was for them to tell the absolute truth to each other.

And nothing works better than a Dancing Demon.
