"Percy wake up. WAKE UP!" I say while shaking him awake. I guess we both fell asleep from last night. Parties with demigods never end well. Last time we had to break it up and Percy ended up getting punched in the face. Percy always goes to the parts to show off mostly, whereas I just lurk around where the food is. We got home really late so I asked him if he would like to stay over with me, plus my heater doesnt work so having heat in my bed is the best I can get. I change into day clothes to leave I look back down at percy lying down on my bed. I watch as his chest rises and falls making. His eyes open quickly then close back again acting like I didn't see him.
"I saw you open your eyes. Get up we need to go" I say while plopping on my bed next to him. I just low how he acts in the mornings.
"Ugh fine." He says while getting up and heading over to the bathroom. Sometimes I wonder how he likes me. And sometimes I wonder how I ended up liking him. After 10 minutes he comes back in my room to tell me he's ready to head out. We walk to the bakery from where I live since i'm so close to where all the shops are.
"Holy crap what happened?" All I can say is nothing. My jaw drops in horror, the whole town is burned.
"Where is everyone? How did we not hear about this?" Percy says angrily now. I look up at him to see his brow furrowed.
"We need to figure out what's happening fast." I saw as we head off into the ashes.
