Disclaimer – I own nothing of RENT. I do own my original character of Claudia – Roger's older sister and the plot. The rest belongs to Jonathon Larson. 'Nuff said.

A/N: With Halloween just around the corner, I thought of this really cute story. In it, Mark is older than Roger, which in the movie and musical, Roger is older.

Summary: AU: Eight little Bohemians get ready for Halloween. Among them, a friendship is formed that will last a lifetime.

Genre: General/None

Rating: K

"Mommy, hurry up! I wanna go Trick-or-Treating with my friends!" five-year-old Roger Davis told his mother.

"Roger, it's only 5:10 – you have two whole hours to get ready before you go trick-or-treating." Rhonda Davis reminded her son. "Which reminds me, Claudia – you're going to have to take the kids tonight – I have the late shift again."

"Ma! You can't be serious!" Claudia whined, coming out of her room. Unlike Roger and Mrs. Davis, Claudia looked like her father – dark brown hair that reached her shoulders and olive skin. Unfortunately, Paul Davis had been killed in a car accident a year after Roger was born. To support her family, Rhonda Davis worked four jobs – including two at a café called Ramona's.

An hour later, Rhonda left for her job while Claudia got herself and Roger ready. They were meeting Roger's best friends – Mark, Maureen, Joanne, Collins, Benny and Angel at the park and go trick-or-treating from there.

As they waited for Roger's friends, a Hispanic woman and her daughter came over to where Claudia and Roger were standing. Roger had decided to be a rock star for Halloween.

"Aww – she's so cute! How old is she?" Claudia asked, noticing the little girl. She was dressed in a leopard costume and had a pink bow around her neck. In her hand, she carried a small pillowcase.

"She's two-years-old today. Would you mind watching her? I cannot stay. Her name is Mimi." The woman told Claudia. Claudia nodded and picked up the little girl, who instantly began crying for her mommy.

"Shh, sweetie. It's okay. Look at what's coming!" Claudia told the little girl, pointing at Roger's friends. A director, a lawyer, a diva, The Thinker, a twenty-dollar bill and an angel came walking over to them, followed by Mrs. Jefferson, who was dressed in a bright orange T-shirt that said 'This Is My Halloween Costume' in white letters and jeans.

After quick introductions, the gang was underway. They met Claudia's best friend, Sara, who was dressed as a jockey and her six-year-old sister, April, who was dressed as a devil. April got along with the other kids very well, especially Roger.

The kids did about an hour of trick-or-treating before Mimi got tired. Claudia picked her up and carried her back down the block, telling her what a sweet girl she was. Claudia sent the kids home with Mrs. Jefferson while she took Mimi home. She knocked on the Marquez's door and stood back. A young man who looked to be fifteen-years-old opened the door.

"Max." Mimi's tired voice rang out. The young man smiled and carefully took the sleepy little girl from Claudia. Claudia smiled and headed to the Jefferson's house.

As Roger decorated cookies, he knew that, even though she was younger than him that he and Mimi would get along just fine.

As she slept, Mimi thought about the new friends she had made that night and hoped that she and her new friends would stay friends until the end.
