"If you don't believe me, I`ll just have to show you!" Henry yelled grabbing the apple turnover off the table and taking a bite out of it.
"See Henry" Emma scolded, watching her son who was standing absolutely still, having swallowed the apple turnover already "there is no magic apple."
But Henry didn't seem to be listening, as he was too busy collapsing onto the floor with the pastry rolling daintily out of his hand and onto the ground next to him. His eyes flickered shut just as he caught the last glimpses of Emma kneeling beside him, yelling his name.
It was odd being under a curse. Not at all like he had expected it to be. Henry, not quite sure where he was, knew exactly what was happening. He was trapped as a prisoner in his own body for all eternity, left with only his regrets. But did a ten year old boy even have regrets?
He supposed that one was not getting Emma to believe sooner and being forced to take such drastic measures, though he could hardly call this her fault. She was the savior after all, and all great heroes needed a little convincing. He, on the other hand, was merely a boy. He meant nothing.
Though, looking back on his life he hadn't had it so bad. Other than the major character flaws that came with being an evil queen, Regina had been a good mother. She had showered him with everything he had wanted (including his Tron Legacy lunch box, which he loved so dearly), had put him in a good school with a wonderful teacher, baked marvelous pastries and other treats and had always been pleasant to be around.
That was, until Mary Margret had given him his story book.
With his book, brought a whole world of trouble. From the day he had figured out about the curse on, he suffered as a victim of regular torture that involved session after session of therapy with Jiminy, or rather Dr. Hopper when he was regularly called crazy and was given countless reasons why he was socially awkward, shy, mentally unstable and overall insane.
Another regret he had was secretly hating Dr. Hopper. It was never his fault that his mother- Regina bullied everyone into getting her way. But knowing about her past and losing her love, it wasn't Regina`s fault she was a bully or evil at all to begin with.
So what other regrets were there?
He was a little sad that he had never revealed his true feelings to Paige, but what was a boy to do when he was crushing on the Mad Hatters daughter? Nothing, that's what.
Suddenly, his train of thought was interrupted by a pulse of magic energy that radiated from his forehead. Henry felt his eyes flicker open as he looked around in astonishment.
"Emma?" Henry asked, looking up at her with large eyes. Emma smiled tearfully back at him, giving a little laughed.
"Henry" she all but sang, engulfing her son into a hug "Henry, I love you." Henry laughed too, wrapping his arms around her weakly.
"I love you too Emma" he said, fighting the tears that threatened to creep up out of him "or should I say mom."
