The Dycron Mystery - Chapter 1
"So!" The Doctor exclaimed, "Here we are!"
"And, where exactly is here?" Questioned a girl with fiery red hair, following him out of the TARDIS doors.
"Well Amy I'm glad you asked. This is Dycron, home planet of the...um... I'm not actually sure what lives here... I've been meaning to visit for a while, just never got round to it..." He trailed off awkwardly.
"You mean we're on a planet which could have who knows what living on it, an we won't even know until it stared us straight in the face?" Rory Williams stood next to his wife, wrapping his arm around her protectively.
"Well when you put it like that..." The Doctor squirmed under the Romans firm gaze.
"Quit worrying Rory, it's not like we haven't done this before." Pushing away his arm, Amy looked to see what was beyond the vast desert they were in.
"Hey! Isn't that a building or something over there?" She called to her boys.
The Doctor ran ahead of her, leaving the couple with something that sounder like: "Race you!". Naturally Amy followed suit struggling to run properly in her small heeled boots in the sand with a grumbling Rory not far behind.
A few minutes later, two out-of-breath Humans joined the curious Time Lord by a large red door made out of a rock that none of the friends had seen before.
"So they have materials beyond Earth." Rory commented.
"Of course they do Rory! This atmosphere is different enough that you wouldn't be able to find half of the things that are on that small planet of yours." The Doctor told him.
"Wait! if the atmosphere is different then how are we still alive?" A conceded look crossed the nurses face as he gestured to himself and Amy.
"Well, it's not too different so that-" Began The Doctor.
"That doesn't matter right now."Amy concluded, giving her husband an elbow to the ribs, which was accompanied with a small "oof". "What matters is, how do we get in?"
"Ah, now that's quite simple Pond, I'm surprised that you haven't thought of it already." The smug Doctor grinned at her.
"It is?" Amy asked.
"Yes," replied The Doctor, "We knock." And before either Rory or Amy had he chance to stop his, he made two long strides the the door and rapped upon it three times.
"And now we wait for a reply." He stepped back, ignoring the look of death that he got from Rory.
