Geitz stood there angry at what Fiora had said. How dare she try to understand him? She has no idea what he had been through. Not even had begun to understand the pain.

"I only meant that you were too caring to.." He interrupted her.

"You don't understand anything! You act as though you have been through it!"

Fiora's face flushed. "Maybe I don't understand exactly Geitz, but I have been through more than you know. Your ship saved my life that year. My parents died when we were very young. I had to support and be a mother to my two sisters. There were days when I thought we would starve to death. I would hold Florina in my arms and tell her empty promises so she would go to bed happy."

Geitz was speechless. "I…I'm sorry."

Fiora looked away feeling a little ashamed she snapped. "Don't be sorry. I didn't get much time with my parents…..so it just hurt to see someone who doesn't love the father they have when all I want is to…is to." Fiora broke down.

Geitz did something he thought he would never do. He wrapped his arms around her.

"I'm sorry Fiora. I was wrong about you. Maybe we are more alike than I thought?"

They parted and Fiora smiled.

"Are we good?"

Fiora chuckled. "Yeah."

Geitz scratched the back of his head and said sheepishly. "Good, but if I ever hear you said something about this I will hunt you down."

Fiora face steamed. "I can't believe you Geitz!"

Fiora stomped off toward camp.

Geitz called after her. "Wait! What did I do?"
