It was late when Quinn finally dragged herself into her dark apartment, dropping her coat and keys on the table next to the door. She loved her job, but sometimes the long hours that came with practicing medicine really effected her. This was one of those nights. The digital clock of the microwave glared back 3:52 as she trudged to the fridge for a water.

As she made her way to the bedroom she vaguely noticed that the hall bathroom light was on. She let out a deep sigh because the bathroom light on usually meant her girlfriend went to sleep worried about her and it was left on "so she didn't walk through the apartment in the dark." The logic escaped her as it was a short walk from the kitchen to the bedroom because of how small the apartment was but she found it easier not to argue and just took the extra second to flip the light off. As she opened the door to her room she couldn't help but let a smile creep across her features. Her pillow was currently being strangled in a death grip by her girlfriend.

Quinn approached the bed and swept brown locks from her sleeping lover's face and placed a gentle to kiss to the brunette's temple before pulling off her work clothes. It was a very brief debate about putting on sleep clothes before Quinn decided to just sleep in her underwear as putting on clothes required more effort then the blonde was willing to spare on the task. It took a couple minutes of gentle pulling and prying before she was able to retrieve her pillow, which caused an instant reaction out of the still slumbering brunette. Her brow creased and a frown found its way on her face.

Quinn couldn't help but chuckle as she settled onto the bed and moved onto her back where the other girl immediately moved into her side, her previous face of contentment resuming. Quinn smiled again before kissing her girlfriend's forehead one more time.

"Goodnight my beautiful little star," was whispered before exhaustion finally claimed the blonde and she fell off to sleep holding her whole world in her arms and she wouldn't have it any other way.
