Scream for Me
Disclaimer: I own nothing, just letting my imagination flow for a while.
His hair, yellow as lemons, now grimy with the thick dust that now hung in the air like poison.
His sky blue eyes, now empty, like her soul.
How could it be that he was dead?
Damn saukerl.
Why hadn't she told him she loved him when she had the chance?
"How about a kiss, Saumensch?" His voice rung in her head.
Why hadn't she said "Yes"?
It didn't matter now, it was too late, and he was dead.
She let images run through her head.
Images of what could have been. Images of a future that was gone.
Her heart ached, and felt as if someone had yanked it out of her chest and was playing a game of football with it, like he had with her so many times.
But this was no game of football.
Rudy. Dead.
Those two words didn't belong in the same sentence.
Crucified Christ. What the hell was she going to do now?
And then, she did the only thing she could think of: She screamed.
And ear piercing, throat burning scream of sheer pain.
One boy, one girl.
One alive, one dead.
And she screamed for him.
