Names
The press had speculated from the day they had announced it. It was a little scary how obsessed the media had been with her pregnancy. They had guessed it was twins before they found out themselves, and there had been at least five "What-name-will-the-Stark-babies-have" websites. He had JARVIS look it up.
But while those sites had thousands of guesses, one even more ridiculous than the other, Howard Jr. always appeared in the top three. Along with Maria Jr. and Anthony Jr. He didn't like it at all. When his daughter was born, he named her Julia, because it was Italian and because it was a pretty name. It had nothing to do with his parents, or Pepper's parents, or anyone's parents, really.
Unlike his sister, who was born with a tuff of dark hair, his son was born completely bald. But he had been sure that when his hair would appear, it would be bright red, so he came up with Roan, because it meant 'little red one'. It was cute and it was sweet and it had nothing to do with parents. Of course Pepper turned out to be right and Roan's hair was just as dark as his, but the idea was a nice one, anyway.
And when he sees them grow up, and play and dance and sing and draw and all those things, he thinks his parents would have loved them. And if, maybe, their second names are Howard and Maria, well, the media doesn't have to know.
